It was one of the hottest days of the dry season.  If we didn't see any rain soon, we would lose everything.
One day when I was in the kitchen, I saw my six-year-old son, Billy, walking towards the forest. He was clearly trying to be as still as possible.   Several minutes after, he had gone into the forest, he ran out again, towards. the house.  This activity went on for an hour, walking carefully to the forest and running back to the house.  I really wanted to know what Billy was doing.
Finally I followed him into the forest.  I found that he was holding a cup of water. He walked very carefully not to drop the water.
I saw a baby deer lying on the ground.  It lifted its head to drink the water in my son's cup.  After the deer drank up, Billy jumped up and ran back to the house to get more water.  When he saw me, he said, "I'm not wasting. " I found that his eyes were filled with tears.
“I know. " I watched the most beautiful heart working so hard to save another life.Tears ran down my face.  As my tear drops began to hit the ground, other drops and more drops and more suddenly joined them   I looked up at the sky.   It was raining.
Some people would say this was all just a huge coincidence  (巧合).   Those miracles(奇迹)  don't really exist (存在).  I would like to believe it was a miracle.   All I can say is that the rain that came that day saved our farm just like the actions of one little boy saved a life.

“I hate school, and I'm not going back!”Have you ever had that thought.

Lots of kids have had. Usually this feeling doesn't last long. But what if you feel this way too much? If you are stressed out, you might have a hard time making decisions. In the morning, you can't decide what to eat, what to wear, or what to take for lunch. Sometimes it's a problem with your classes and schoolwork. Maybe the work is too easy and you get bored. Or maybe the work is too hard, or you don't feel as clever as the other kids. Reading may be difficult for you, but you are asked to do a lot of it. You may be getting farther and farther behind, and it may seem that you will never catch up with others. When you know why you don't like school, you can start taking steps to make things better
It's a good idea to talk to someone about your problems at school. Your mom, dad, friends, teachers, or even classmates will be able to help you.
Another good idea is to write down your feeling about school. For instance, keep a diary or just write in a notebook. It's a great way to let out emotion that may be stuck inside you. And you don't have to share(分享)what you have written with others.
The next time you find yourself disliking school, this will also help you:
Make a list of everything you dislike or enjoy—even there is only one thing. See what you can change on “don't like” list. Could you find a way to show off your special interests and talents on what you like? Which activities could you try that would help you solve these “don't like” problems? Focus on what you can change and you might be able to put the good feeling back in school!

Have you seen any scarecrows (稻草人)? In the countryside of our country, some villagers like to set up some scarecrows in the fields in order to prevent birds from harming their crops. They think that this can play a role in driving away birds. In fact, not only farmers love to use scarecrows, but also some airports have installed scarecrows in such a developed technology today, which plays a very good role in driving away birds. Some people will say that birds are not fools, and they will come back to eat after a long time. So do the birds really feel scared? Can scarecrows really play a role in driving away birds? Not very — unless you're willing to put some extra(额外)effort into them.

While traditional scarecrows who couldn't move do work against "pest birds" (eg. crows and blackbirds), the effect is almost always temporary (暂时的). Over time, the birds get used to scarecrows who couldn't move and reuse their destructive (破坏性的)habits.

However, a few tricks can up your scarecrow's game. Researchers have learned that those with realistic facial features(特征)and brightly colored clothes are better at driving away birds. Also, moving a scarecrow around every few days often helps. According to several studies, flailing(大幅波动) scarecrows get the very best results.

To stop more teenagers from becoming addicted(沉迷) to the Internet, the Ministry of Education (MOE, 教育部) sent a letter on April 20, 2018 to all parents in China, It calls on them to pay more attention to their children's online activities. Nowadays more and more teenagers become addicted to the Internet. A 17-year-old boy from Guangdong Province nearly died after playing online games for 40 hours. It shows how bad things can get when one becomes addicted to the Internet.

The MOE also sent a notice to primary and middle schools, asking them to manage students' Internet use. From now on, schools will pay more attention to their students' Internet use, as well as their use of mobile phones. Schools have been told to teach students how to avoid violent(暴力的)online contents(内容). As long as students show signs of being addicted to the Internet, they can get help from their teachers to give up their addiction.

To make better use of the Internet, experts suggest that students should limit(限制) their screen time to less than 1. 5 hours a day. They can develop healthy hobbies, like reading or playing sports in their free time.

Many other countries are also taking action. The Australian government has called for schools to confiscate (没收) mobile phones during school hours. And in South Korea, there is a law that children under the age of 16 are not allowed to play online between midnight and 6 am.
