There was a boy and his family was very rich. One day his father took him on a trip to a place. He wanted to show his son how poor people were there. They spent several days on a farm. There were many poor families living on the farm.

    On their way home, the father asked the son, “How was the trip?” “It was great, Dad,” the son answered. “Did you notice how poor people were there?" asked his father. “Oh, yes,” said the son. “So, tell me,” said his father. The son said, “Well, we have one dog and they have four. We have a pool in our garden, while they have a river that has no end. We have expensive lanterns(灯), but they have stars above their heads at night. We have only a small piece of land to live on, while they have the endless fields. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have high walls around our houses to protect us, but they don't need walls, because their friends will protect them."

    The father had nothing to say. Then the boy added, “Thank you, Dad, for letting me see how poor we are.”

    "I am going to the store, Uncle Moti, "Mina said. "Do you want to come along? You have not seen much of the neighborhood yet."

    Uncle shook his head. "No, thank you," he said. "It is just too loud and crowded for me. Everyone is always on the go, while I am used to the peace and quiet of our village. Everyone is friendly and has a smile for everyone else."

    "Sounds really nice," Mina said. "But I think maybe it is not different in every way. I really wish you would come with me, and I could show you why I say that. "Uncle sighed and got up, saying, "All right, Mina, I will go."

    Out on the street, cars zoomed by, some of them honking. Uncle looked very nervous at all the noise and activities, and Mina took his hand.

    Japanese table tennis Star Ai Fukuhara(福原爱)stopped playing as a professional (专业的) player on October 21, 2018.

    Fukuhara was born in Sendai, Japan, in November, 1988. She began playing table tennis at the age of three. She became a professional player at the age of ten. In 2000, she became a member of the Japanese national(国家的) team. She was the first person to be in the Japanese national team at such an early age. Because of it. people called Fukuahara "Child prodigy(神童)" in table tennis in Japan, As the Japanese young players are doing very well., She said she could now leave the team but still hoped to do something helpful to table tennis.

    Fukuhara went to China for training (训练) at a very young age and can speak good Chinese, She Spoke Chinese so well that people even thought she was born in China. In 2008, Fukuhara held the national Flag for Japan at the Olympic Games in Beijing, China. She and her partner won the third place, after South Korea and China. Jukuhara with her team—mates won the second place at the London Olympics in 2012 and the third place at the Rio Olympics in 2016.

    Helen is a kind and hard-working girl. Her father is a bus driver, and her mother is a worker. They're busy every day and sometimes they have no time to cook for their daughter. So her mother teaches her to cook some simple food. Helen learns very quickly and soon she can cook pancakes(煎饼) and hot dishes.

    Today is Sunday. Helen is free. She hopes her parents can eat hot food when they get home. She cooks some pancakes first. Then she wants to cook tomato soup, but she doesn't know how much salt(盐) she should put into the soup. She puts spoons(勺) of salt. Her parents are very happy after they see the hot pancakes and soup on the table. But they look very painful(痛苦的) after having the soup. "Oh dear Helen, how much salt did you put into the soup?"
