Subject: The Riding for the Disabled Association
Hi Christine,
Sorry I haven't emailed lately —I've been very busy since becoming a volunteer for the Riding for the Disabled Association.
Every Saturday, I help to get the horses {#blank#}1{#/blank#}  for the disabled(残疾) riders. Many more disabled people want to ride {#blank#}2{#/blank#} than you'd imagine. It's a disadvantage that I don't know how to ride —I'd love to got on long rides with the riders— but I'll learn soon {#blank#}3{#/blank#} . Right now, I'm just happy to be able to lead the horses around for the disabled riders.
    I'm{#blank#}4{#/blank#}  helping to organize a sale, which will be {#blank#}5{#/blank#}  next month. It's a lot more work than helping the disabled. I need to collect second-hand things to sell at the sale. There are {#blank#}6{#/blank#}  things available(获得的) than I thought, but I'm sure we'll have enough{#blank#}7{#/blank#}  next month.
     I hope the sale raises more money than last month's walk. It was rainy, so too few people took part in the event. Last week, we held an auction(拍卖). The auction took much less {#blank#}8{#/blank#} to organize than the walk. {#blank#}9{#/blank#} , for some reason, people offered too little money for the things, so we didn't raise enough money.
     I'm {#blank#}10{#/blank#} you some pictures in the letter, as well as a speech I gave last week.

    Today I'd like to tell you a little about the people I admire the most.

    My first hero is the adventure Jessica Watson. In October 2009, when she was only sixteen years old, Jessica left Sydeney, Australia and sailed {#blank#}1{#/blank#}the Pacific, Atlantic and India Oceans all by herself. She {#blank#}2{#/blank#}to Sydney in May 2010. She is the youngest person to sail solo unsupported around the world. I have a lot of respect for her as she was {#blank#}3{#/blank#}to face difficulties and danger alone. Australians were so {#blank#}4{#/blank#}her that they called her "our newest Australian hero."

    As the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} goes, smiling is sunshine in everyone's heart. When I started to go to primary school, my teacher, Mr. Wei, told me the importance of smiling. He told me that {#blank#}2{#/blank#} was a simple behavior which was very powerful. It can give people warm feelings, show your respect to {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. Since a smile is a positive(积极的) attitude, we can often smile to ourselves to become {#blank#}4{#/blank#} and happy. Although there are some situations where we may experience hardship or even {#blank#}5{#/blank#}, we can always smile to ourselves. It can help us {#blank#}6{#/blank#} many difficulties as well as succeed in the end. Learning to {#blank#}7{#/blank#} to others is also beneficial. When we smile to others, we can get a smile in {#blank#}8{#/blank#}. Then it can put us in a good mood. What's more, it can also help us build a good relationship with others. In one word, smiling is a {#blank#}9{#/blank#} which can help others understand us better. Therefore, let's start to smile and live a better and {#blank#}10{#/blank#}life.
