After almost 24 hour of traveling, I was in Beijing. I was {#blank#}1{#/blank#} with some of my classmates. We were all tired and dirty. Even at the airport, it was {#blank#}2{#/blank#} that we were in a foreign country which was very different {#blank#}3{#/blank#} our own. For us, the language sounded very{#blank#}4{#/blank#} . Although nervous, I felt excited.
It's amazing{#blank#}5{#/blank#} there are so many places of interest (名胜) in Beijing. We visited the Forbidden City, Tian'anmen Square and the Great Wall.
One day, Li Bo, a Chinese friend of {#blank#}6{#/blank#} , took us to visit a village. On the way, it rained {#blank#}7{#/blank#} . we were wet when we arrived, but we were happy to see the mountains in the{#blank#}8{#/blank#} . They were really beautiful. The China Study Tour made me {#blank#}9{#/blank#} a lot about the country, the people I met and even myself. It was the most valuable (宝贵的) part of my college life. I often encourage my friends to {#blank#}10{#/blank#} a study tour. There's no other way to learn so much in only four weeks!

    Early one Saturday morning，Ann brought her son Sam to her friends Bill and Kate．Ann asked{#blank#}1{#/blank#}to look after him for the day.Sam,a boy of six years old，had black hair and was{#blank#}2{#/blank#}a pair of jeans and a yellow shirt．

    At eleven o'clock，Bill took Sam {#blank#}3{#/blank#} town．Sam walked along behind Bill，looking at the windows of all the shops they passed (经过)．After lunch they went to a park．The park was very{#blank#}4{#/blank#}．Bill stopped to buy some chocolate．When he turned around to give some to Sam,the boy wasn't there．Bill ran around calling Sam,but he couldn't{#blank#}5{#/blank#}him. About an hour later,just in front of a shop，he saw the black hair, the pair of jeans and the yellow shirt．It looked as if(好像)the boy was{#blank#}6{#/blank#}someone to come out of the shop．{#blank#}7{#/blank#}it was quite late，Bill ran  across the road，took the boy by the hand and hurried off(匆匆离去)．The boy began to shout and cry,but Bill couldn't{#blank#}8{#/blank#}a word the boy was saying．All the way back the boy made a lot of noise．

    When they got{#blank#}9{#/blank#}at last，Bill went to the kitchen，with the boy still crying．At the door Bill{#blank#}10{#/blank#}in amazement(惊愕)．There，sitting at the kitchen table with Kate，was a small boy with black hair, in a pair of jeans and a yellow shirt．

    Every day, the man sitting up by the window tells the other about things outside.

"Some children are throwing bread to the ducks on the lake. " "The girls are so beautiful in their summer dresses. " The other man is happy to hear about all the activities and colours of the world outside.

    Days and weeks pass. One morning, the man by the window {#blank#}1{#/blank#} . The other man asks the nurse to move his bed {#blank#}2{#/blank#} to the window.

    Finally he can sit up to see the outside, but he is very disappointed. All he can see is a {#blank#}3{#/blank#} wall！

    "But my roommate told me so many wonderful things about outside！"he says.

    "He was blind. He couldn't even see the wall. He just wanted you to live with  {#blank#}4{#/blank#} . "says the nurse.
