Nowadays more and more people are using modern traffic and modern communication means. The world {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (it) is becoming much smaller. So life today is much easier than it was {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (hundred) of years ago. but it has brought new {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (problem). One of the biggest problems is pollution. To pollute mean to make things dirty. Pollution comes {#blank#}4{#/blank#} many ways. We see it, smell it, drink it and even hear it.

    Air pollution is still the most serious. It's bad to all living things in the world, but it is not the {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (bad) one kind of pollution. Water pollution kills our fish and pollutes our drinking water. Noise pollution makes us become angry more {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (easy).

    Pollution by SO₂ is really the most dangerous problem of air pollution. It is {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (cause) by heavy traffic. It is true that {#blank#}8{#/blank#} there are fewer people driving, there will be less air pollution.

    The earth is {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (we) home. We must take care of it. That means {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (keep) the land water and air clean. And we must take care of the rise in pollution at the same time.

    One Sunday morning, I wanted to buy a computer to use for school.  I went to the{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(big) store in town, which sold all kinds of computers. There were {#blank#}2{#/blank#}many computers there that I didn't know" how to choose a right one. Then a young man greeted me with a sweet smile. He looked like not a salesman {#blank#}3{#/blank#}a student like me .I had a strange feeling as if I had met him before.  He began showing me each model {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(patient). With his help, I decided {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(buy) one computer with enough functions at a very low price. I enjoyed this shopping experience because of his smile. A few {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(month) later, something was wrong with my computer. I went back to the store to have it repaired. When I arrived there, what I saw was still his smile. As soon as I told him my problem, he comforted me immediately and tried his best to {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(solve) the problem for me. I was quite thankful for {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(he) sweet smile and good service.

    When I went back to school, his smile often appeared in my mind. I realized smiling is{#blank#}9{#/blank#} most peaceful language in the daily life. I don't know {#blank#}10{#/blank#} we'll meet each other again, but his sweet smile will stay there in my memory and deep in my heart.

    Hi, boys and girls! I'm Dolly. Last year, our family went on a {#blank#}1{#/blank#}to England. We went there {#blank#}2{#/blank#} plane. My parents and I {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (spend) a few weeks in London. We went there in autumn. We think it is the {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (good) time to visit England. The weather is usually very good and there aren't so many {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (visitor) in October. We stayed in a small village. We did most of our sightseeing on foot. We went to see all the interesting places. We also went to the restaurants. A lot of people say English food is very a {#blank#}6{#/blank#}. But we don't think so. We think it is delicious.
