    Like many foreigners, I only know two words of Chinese (“hello” and “thank you”) when I came to China in 2015. Since tasks like ordering food or taking a taxi was quite stressful, so I signed up for classes. Because my teacher was very helpful, I didn't learn enough to have a conversation on. Finally, I found that the best way learn Chinese is to make friends with native speakers and spend time with him. Gradually, I learned enough Chinese to take care of a few complicated tasks. Besides, visits to the bank, and anything else which involves technical language, are still tough for me. Nowadays, more foreigners than ever are studying Chinese. I can understand how; It's a fascinating language, and there are always new words waits to be discovered.

    As we all know, we can meet with various challenges in our life. Faced with challenges, how should we do?

    Last month, our class climbed Mount Tai, that is more than 1,500 meters above sea level. Lacking exercise, I thought that this activity was great challenge for me. I felt very exhausted halfway that I wanted to give up. See this, my classmates and even some strangers encourage me. By the end, I managed to reach on the top of the mountain.

    Therefore, don't give up in face of challenges. If you are determined enough, it's certainly that you can overcome it.

    Most people look forward to their birthdays because of the presents they receive them. I have been getting my birthday presents but none of which have been remarkable so far. My parents always give me books which is fine but not exciting. Then, on my seventeen birthday, I got the best birthday present ever. On the dining table was a white envelope. I opened it and find a key and a note. “Happy birthday, my dear nephew!” was written on hand. It was from his Aunt Jess. I looked at the key more closely but I realized it was a car key. This was best birthday present. On my birthday, I became the owner of my own car thanks to my generously aunt.

    I'm glad that I'm getting more interested in English than ever. However, in the past I think learning English was to learn grammar rules or words by heart. I didn't like to read or speak English, nor I willing to talk with my classmates in English. Now with your English teacher's help. I have realized what the skills in learning English are in fact habits. I have begun to enjoy speaking English and communicate with my classmates. I often read some new article or look for some information on the Internet. For a result, I have become more and more interesting in English. And I made a great progress in English.

    I was about to go back home after school while I heard someone crying nearby. I looked around and found the boy sitting on the ground. I went up to him and asking gently what had happened. The boy looked at me, still crying, pointed out to a ball in a deep hole and told me everything. I decided lend him a hand, and the ball was out of my reach. Where could I get the ball? I thought it over and then had an idea. I quickly fetched some bottles of water and poured them into the hole. With the water rising, the ball floated up. The boy got the ball happy and expressed his thank for my offer.
