Copernicus was an astronomer(天文学家). He studied the {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(planets/weather) and the stars. He found out that the earth {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (walks/goes) around the sun. He put his thought into a book, but he hid the book. Nobody could read it {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (before/after) Copernicus died.

    Many years later, Galileo {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (read/watched) the book and believed that thought. Galileo said that the earth was moving around the sun. This made lots of people {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (happy/angry) because they thought the earth must be the center of the universe. Galileo got into trouble and he had to say that he was {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(brave/wrong), but Galileo knew he was right.

    Galileo watched the moon carefully through his telescope(望远镜). He {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(invented/saw) some hills there. He also saw {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (millions/millions of) stars in the universe. In 1673 his eyes became weak, and then he couldn't see {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(anything/nothing) through his telescope.

   Galileo died in 1642 and the world lost a {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (funny/great) man. But in the same year, another great scientist Newton was born in England.

    It was Mr. Hill's birthday. He was one hundred {#blank#}1{#/blank#}old and many people {#blank#}2{#/blank#}to his birthday party. A reporter came to the party and ask him a few {#blank#}3{#/blank#}."Many people want to know how you keep {#blank#}4{#/blank#}," the reporter said, "Could you {#blank#}5{#/blank#}us about  it " "That is because I{#blank#}6{#/blank#}get up at six in the morning," said Hill."And have three {#blank#}7{#/blank#} a day and {#blank#}8{#/blank#} drink alcohol(酒)" "Really? said the reporter, "my uncle also did the {#blank#}9{#/blank#},and he only lived to {#blank#}10{#/blank#} eighty. What do you think of that?" "He didn't keep it long enough,"  the old man answer.

Why is music important to people? Because life{#blank#}1{#/blank#}music wouldn't be active. Different kinds of music express different life experiences. So, when we listen to different kinds of music, they can bring us different {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. For example, rock music can make us {#blank#}3{#/blank#}, classical music can make us relaxed; and country music can make us think of the beautiful country life. At different ages, people have different ideas about music. Young people today enjoy pop music {#blank#}4{#/blank#}their parents prefer listening to classical music. Perhaps this is. because young people are {#blank#}5{#/blank#}with energy and faster music can let their energy come out. Their parents have worked very hard during the day and they have got tired when they come back home. So, they would like to listen to classical music to make themselves relaxed.
