The local elementary school had just let out and I found myself behind a school bus as I was driving home. The bus stopped by a house {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (stand) on top of a hill. A little girl no more than seven years old jumped down the bus steps and{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (start) running up the driveway toward the house.

    I looked up the hill to see {#blank#}3{#/blank#} she was going and saw her Dad waiting for her. As she got closer and closer her Dad smiled and bent down to greet her. When she got to him, he folded her in {#blank#}4{#/blank#} powerful arms and gave her a huge hug.

    My eyes watered a bit as I watched this scene and remembered all the times {#blank#}5{#/blank#} my own children had ran into my arms with {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (smile) faces. Every single hug from them {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (be) a fountain of youth and a treasure of joy .

    My lovely trip down memory lane was interrupted when I heard the car behind me sound its horn (喇叭). I saw {#blank#}8{#/blank#} school bus quickly pulling away. I started to follow it again with a {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (light) spirit than I had before. I took that beautiful moment and stored it {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (safe) in my soul where I knew it would remain forever.

     Siva, the wise father of Ganesh,once called his two sons and suggested a small contest.

    “I will give this sweet to{#blank#}1{#/blank#}goes around the world faster,” he said, holding out a large,delicious milk sweet. Murugan,Ganesh's brother,glowed with pride knowing the prize would soon be{#blank#}2{#/blank#},for he could fly{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(swift) in his chariot（敞篷双轮马车）,circle the earth,and be back in only hours,while his big,clumsy brother Ganesh would take so much{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(long) to do the same.

Bidding farewell to his parents,Murugan set off happily.Ganesh thought for a moment,then smiled and{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (begin) to move.His large elephant with its heavy trunk did slow him down,{#blank#}6{#/blank#}he did not have far to go.For he simply walked carefully{#blank#}7{#/blank#}both of his parents.In a few minutes he had circled them,{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (stand) respectfully in front of his father once again.

    “Father, please give me the prize,”he said.

    “Why? You did not go around the world.You stayed right here,”replied Siva.

    “But Father,” argued Ganesh, “I have just gone around the world.You see, my parents are indeed the{#blank#}9{#/blank#}world to me.”His parents smiled, well pleased.

    Much later, a tired Murugan returned home.{#blank#}10{#/blank#}, the prize was already eaten up.And now you know who won it and why.

    In the closing ceremony of the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018  China put on {#blank#}1{#/blank#} eight-minute performance "See You in Beijing in 2022", {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (direct) by Zhang Yimou. The show centered on the talents of a team of 24 roller-skating {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (perform) from Beijing Sport University. Two of {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (they) dressed up as "Panda Captains" led the performance.     Last Friday a storm swept through two villages in the New Territories, {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (destroy) fourteen homes. Seven others were so badly damaged {#blank#}2{#/blank#} their owners had to leave them, and fifteen others had broken windows or roofs. One person was killed, several were {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (serious) hurt and taken to hospital, and a number of other people received smaller hurt. Altogether over two hundred people were home-less after the storm.

    A farmer, Mr. Tan, said that the storm began early {#blank#}4{#/blank#} the morning and lasted for over an hour.

    "I {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(eat) with my wife and children," he said, "when we heard a loud noise. A few minutes later our house fell down on top of us.
