For nearly two decades, a thin, sun-burnt postal worker could frequently be seen carrying packages along a dangcrous mountain trail in the Taihang Mountains.

The 10-kilometer-long route, which is between 20 centimeters and 1 meter wide, is known as the "cat road" by locals, meaning that it is so dangerous that only cats could walk on it. Whereas, Zhao Yuefang, a postal worker in Ewu township in Huguan county, Shanxi province, had to walk the route every day to deliver mail.

Every day at the crack of dawn, he would start his journey along the "cat road". From picking up the day's post to delivering it to villagers and returning along the same route, it took Zhao four days. During rainy and snowy seasons, the mountain road, part of which hugs the cliffs, would become slippery and dangerous. One day in the winter of 2003, the "cat road" was covered in thick snow and he slipped off the trail. Fortunately, he was able to stop his sharp descent by grabbing a tree branch and slowly managed to climb to safety.

By 2012, Zhao had walked more than 300,000 km and delivered over 800,000 pieces of mail. Born and raised in the deep mountains, Zhao truly understands the significance of mail deliveries to villagers. "They depend on the mail to keep in touch with the outside world," he said. "Their sheer joy written on their face while receiving any post struck me," he added.

In 2012, a 67-km-long tourist highway was built and gone were those days when Zhao risked his life to walk on the "cat road". But Zhao was even busier than before. "The number of packages I handle daily now exceeds the number I used to deal with in the past," said Zhao, adding that villagers are turning to online shopping and ordering more and more goods by post.

Sharifkhuja has loved Chinese movies and culture since childhood. His father is also a huge fan of China. Before his {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(graduate)from high school, Sharifkhuja's father suggested that he learn Chinese and go to China in the future.Having studied Chinese for two years in Tajikistan, Sharifkhuja finally came to China {#blank#}2{#/blank#} ( pursue) his dream.

After five years in China, Chinese language and calligraphy {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(become) a part of his life. In his first calligraphy class，Sharifkhuja said that writing with brushes was {#blank#}4{#/blank#}amazing experience, which could help him feel the spirits of Chinese culture. Besides，{#blank#}5{#/blank#} he enjoys most is traditional Chinese music. Sharifkhuja is willing to share his experience in China with his family and friends and introduce Tajik culture to his Chinese pals.

{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(stay) in China for many years, he hopes to work in the embassy(大使馆) {#blank#}7{#/blank#} a cultural bridge between the two countries. Meanwhile, he also {#blank#}8{#/blank#} ( plan) to return home as a Chinese teacher because {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(employ) the skills he acquired in China to improve the education of his motherland is one of his dreams.

However, no matter what Sharifkhuja chooses, his future will be {#blank#}10{#/blank#}( close ) related to Chinese.

The Ocean of Stars，a symphony（交响乐） concert by Suzhou Symphony Orchestra，was staged at the Jinji Lake Concert Hall in Suzhou，Jiangsu Province，on July 15，2023. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} part of the ongoing Hua Xia Music Festival hosted by Suzhou Symphony Orchestra，the concert {#blank#}2{#/blank#} （ conduct） by Chen Xieyang，featuring famous pianist Wu Chun.Chinese music {#blank#}3{#/blank#} （ work），including The Ocean of Stars and Mulan Psalm，all by Chinese composer Guan Xia，were performed. 

The orchestra teamed up with Suzhou Silk Museum，presenting a modern show，which saw musicians of the orchestra wearing and showing {#blank#}4{#/blank#} （ tradition） Chinese silk clothes at the Jinji Lake Concert Hall.Started by conductor Chen，artistic director of the orchestra，the two-week Hua Xia Music Festival， {#blank#}5{#/blank#} was in the third year，aimed at {#blank#}6{#/blank#} （ promote）Chinese music works. 

Suzhou Symphony Orchestra also announced {#blank#}7{#/blank#} （ it） 2023-2024 season on July 15，which would close in July 2024.It was the orchestra's {#blank#}8{#/blank#} （eight） season，which gathered music artists with {#blank#}9{#/blank#} average age of 30 years old from around the world. 

The year 2023 marked the 65th anniversary of foreign relations between China and Algeria.It was the first time the orchestra {#blank#}10{#/blank#} （ perform） in Africa at the 13th International Classical Music Festival in Algiers，Algeria.

I suffered my brain injury from a car accident. I was rear-ended(追尾) twice 1 , which caused my head to hit the headrest each time I was hit. I had received news over time from my doctor, which was mentally and emotionally 2 for any 18-year-old to accept. I was 3 , and did not know what this meant for me and my future. Throughout the journey, I tried to 4 why I didn't feel like myself two years after the accident and recognized things I never had 5 with before, such as being unable to remember pretty much anything. My 6 had increased and I did go through days of depression. I wanted to be a 7 but I felt as though that dream would never be reached.

       Sitting in bed feeling 8 , I tried to focus on why I wanted to be a lawyer. I 9 myself that I was the only one holding myself back from making that 10 a reality. Thinking of this, I pulled myself together and have been fighting for my dream ever since. And I am 11 with my bachelor's degree in criminal justice and two pre-law certificates in 3 years at Florida International University.

12 I have to work ten times harder than I would have if I hadn't had this 13 , I wouldn't take it back. I am 14 now due to the things that have happened to me. Nothing is impossible, but it is how you take on a(an) 15 that will get you to where you want to be.

Achenyo soon arrived at the water's edge with her pot, and she found a huge surprise. The river was 1 ! In its place was a blanket of dark green leaves and lavender-colored (淡紫色的) flowers.

"Oh no!" Achenyo heard the adults crying, "They've 2 again!" It seemed Mama wouldn't have water to mix the dyes (染料) for her weaving.

Last year, the rainy season had brought a(n) 3 of water hyacinths (水葫芦). The plants had covered the river and left no 4 to dip a pot. Every day, people had to walk into the water and clear enough plants to get water.

What a shame to 5 such pretty flowers, Achenyo thought as she 6 the plants with others and threw them on the riverbank. Then, she had an idea. Carrying the plants under her arm, she got Mama's water and ran home 7 .

"Mama, will you teach me to weave?" asked Achenyo. Mama laughed. It was her wish to pass on the 8 to her daughter. But looking at the thick stalks, she was 9 . Achenyo showed her how difficult it was to break and begged 10 Mama said yes. Then they wove together every day after school. It was 11 weaving the stalks into different shapes, but she was 12 .

One afternoon, Achenyo held up her finished work to Mama. It was neatly woven and well decorated. "What a nice mat!" They showed it to their neighbours, who were 13 and began to use the stalks to make things. By the end of the rainy season, the 14 no longer thought of the plant as an invader, but a 15 .

A few notable moments from my most recent volunteering at the Children's Hospital never escape me.

After we had 1 with the nurses, Dr. Tiny and I went to our first room, inside which were a mother and a two-year-old boy. This young boy was 2 on the bed, jumping up and down. Mom looked at us with a sense of expectation and curiosity. She was trying to calm her son, but she couldn't. Dr. Tiny 3 his tool and waved it through the air creating bubbles (肥皂泡) in front of the child. I had a 4 with me. I started to play gentle, 5 music. As we did this, the young boy watched the bubbles with his eyes, and began to rock 6 gently to the music. He slowly reached out his hand to 7 the bubbles. We glanced over at the mom and noticed that she, too, had become 8 .

Later, we walked into another room at the Emergency Department. The patient was a teenage boy who had met with a terrible 9 , leaving him unable to sit up. 10 , he could raise his head with 11 to see us as we entered the room. He saw our guitar. "Play me a song," he said, "The Red Nose Reindeer."

I quickly adjusted my guitar, 12 my throat, and began to sing, "Jingle bells, Jingle bells, Jingle all the way…" The patient looked up with a look of 13 . With a smile, he said, "Play The Red Nose Reindeer, please!" Dr. Tiny looked at me and said, "You are starting to embarrass us." I glanced at Dr. Tiny and the patient, 14 for getting it wrong I began to sing again. As Dr. Tiny and I sang the song, the patient sang along and laughed. "That was a good one!" he shouted 15 .
