    I still remember how nervously I was on my first day in the new school three years before. I found it how difficult to follow my teacher in first English class. In the morning class the next day, my English teacher came to me while she was reading the text aloud. After listen to me for a while, she gave me a big smile and said she like my voice very much.     The first monthly exam which I took as a high school student held at the end of September. Unluckily, I performed poorly in mathematics and chemistry, all of which used to be my strong subject. As a result of, my total test score fell greatly and ranked 400^th in our grade. I feel upset and my mother suggested I spend some time in my hobby—fishing for relaxation. Driving by my mother's suggestion, I went to a pond on a weekend. There I fished for a whole day but calmed myself down. The joy from fishing successful pushed me out off low spirits.

    When I was at secondary school，I often played the football with my friends on the playground. We used to taking these games very serious，because we didn't know whether the sports teacher was watching. Maybe one of us would get pick for the school team! Then one day it happens. After a sports lesson the teacher asked me I wanted to play for the team the following Saturdays. He wasn't promising that I would play and he said I would certainly be a substitute. He felt so proud and exciting. I actually played that Saturday and soon got a regular place in the team.

    Last month, I took part in a volunteer activity in a village. We start off by bus at 9 o'clock. After a three-hour drive, we saw the village surrounded by hills. It was very difficulty to drive on the rocky road, so we got on the bus and walked there. The villagers standing by road welcomed us warm.

    Cooked with those vegetable grown by the villagers, the lunch was tasted delicious. After lunch, we played games with the village children. Then, we visited an old man live alone on the hillside. We sang a few songs, what made him really happy.

    I think when doing volunteer work, you help others and you gain happy in return.
