Paul is very busy {#blank#}1{#/blank#} days. Every day he gets up {#blank#}2{#/blank#} in the morning. Then he cleans his room. Paul has breakfast at half past {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. After that, he {#blank#}4{#/blank#} to the bus station to take the bus. He begins to work at eight o'clock. He likes {#blank#}5{#/blank#} job.

    One year ago， eleven of my friends and I got together and made a group. We called {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (our) “12 Caring Women”.

    We meet once a {#blank#}2{#/blank#} and take turns to hold the activity. We each donate(捐赠) 20 dollars， so we have 240 dollars each month for {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (do) good things.

    When we{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(meet)， we discuss what to do in the month. Last month， we donated the money to a{#blank#}5{#/blank#} lady. She had a baby in an earthquake， but didn't have money {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(raise) her baby.

    Over the past year， we have helped many people{#blank#}7{#/blank#} need. We work with the government and {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (school). They help us find people in need. If we don't have people to{#blank#}9{#/blank#} in one month， we give the money to the nursing home(养老院).

    When we help people， we feel very happy. I'm writing this passage {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (ask) more people to join us.

    How Do Kids Spend the Weekend?

    Last week, we{#blank#}1{#/blank#} the students at Dazhu Middle School what they {#blank#}2{#/blank#} over the weekend. For most kids, the weekend {#blank#}3{#/blank#}fun. Ten kids did homework or {#blank#}4{#/blank#} .On Saturday morning, five kids{#blank#}5{#/blank#}shopping, and three went to the library. Two kids also{#blank#}6{#/blank#} computer games. On Saturday afternoon seven kids{#blank#}7{#/blank#} a movie or{#blank#}8{#/blank#} at home and watched TV. On Sunday, two kids{#blank#}9{#/blank#} friends or relatives. Nine kids{#blank#}10{#/blank#}their rooms, and five played sports.

    Music is heard in every corner of the world: in every community and in every culture. Why? Music is part of human nature and it is needed for many {#blank#}1{#/blank#} in our lives. Music plays an important part in helping us {#blank#}2{#/blank#}, we hear it when we are shopping, in hotel, airports, and restaurants. There is music that you can dance to, sing to, or you may just{#blank#}3{#/blank#} listen to it for entertainment. In the movies, music is as important as the acting. Although most people don't {#blank#}4{#/blank#} it, a good movie has music that helps create the mood for the story. However there are times when music does more harm than good, for example, when you listen to music that is too loud. You might think this is OK now, but that's {#blank#}5{#/blank#} you're still young. Listening to loud music is not good for ears and it can even make you deaf. If music is necessary part of your world, keep the volume (音量) down.

    In November 1979, pupils in England were able to watch a new TV program called Monkey.  Most of them {#blank#}1{#/blank#} this story for the first time.

    However, this story is not new to Chinese children. The Monkey King or Sun Wukong {#blank#}2{#/blank#} the main character in the traditional Chinese book Journey to the West.

    The Monkey King is not just a normal monkey. In fact, he sometimes {#blank#}3{#/blank#} like a monkey! This is because he can make 72 changes to his shape and size, turning himself into different animals and objects. But unless he {#blank#}4{#/blank#} his tail, he cannot turn himself into a man. To fight bad people, the Monkey King uses a magic stick. Sometimes he can make the stick so small that he can keep it in his ear. At other times, he is able to make it big and long.

    The Monkey King {#blank#}5{#/blank#} this stick to heaven to fight. The Jade Emperor(玉皇大帝) {#blank#}6{#/blank#} the Monkey King. Then the Buddha(如来佛祖)comes. Finally the Monkey King is trapped at the foot of the mountain by the Buddha.  Five hundred years later, he {#blank#}7{#/blank#} by the Tang Dynasty monk Xuanzang. Later, the Monkey King helps Xuanzang to the west.

    The Monkey King {#blank#}8{#/blank#} the children of China for many years. And as soon as the TV program came out more than 30 years ago, Western Children became interested in {#blank#}9{#/blank#} this story because the clever Monkey King keeps fighting {#blank#}10{#/blank#} the weak and never gives up.
