Some countries are better than others at looking after the environment. In Europe, Germany(德国) and northern European countries work very hard to improve the environment. The people in Germany put their rubbish into different bags--paper in one bag, plastic in another. Laws do not allow people to burn too much coal.  

    In the l970s, as people learned more about environmental problems. The "Green" movement(运动) began and soon spread all over Europe. The "Green" movement tries to get governments to protect the environment. It collects information about how industry is damaging(毁坏) the environment and tells newspapers.

    My name is Amy. Mike, Lisa and I are good friends. We have different hobbies.

    I have a nice voice(嗓音). On the weekend, I often have a singing class. Mike likes cool things. On Saturday afternoon, Mike always dances hip-pop(街舞) in the park. Lisa likes cooking. She often cooks on the weekend. Sometimes she makes cakes for her family.

    On weekend, we usually go to the orphanage(孤儿院) together. I sing songs with the children. Mike teaches the children how to dance and Lisa cook food for them. We are always very happy. We can help the children.

    Jeff has a white pet dog. It is very smart. It can buy newspapers for Jeff. Every morning, Jeff puts one dollar into the dog's mouth and it goes to the shop to buy newspapers for Jeff.

    Jeff has a good friend named Mark. Jeff tells Mark about his smart dog. Mark doesn't believe it. Today, Mark comes to see Jeff in the morning. (A)杰夫正在跟他的狗玩耍。Mark says, "I will give your dog money. I don't think it can buy newspapers. "

    "Have a try (试一下), " says Jeff.

    Then Mark puts the money into the dog's mouth and the dog walks out. After one hour, the dog doesn't come back.

    "How much money do you give the dog?" asks Jeff.

    "Five dollars," says Mark.

    (B)"If it has five dollars, it will go to the movies." says Jeff.

    Harbin Opera House (哈尔滨大剧院) lies on Harbin Cultural Island, near the Songhua River. It took people about six years to complete the whole project and it opened in 2015. Its building style belongs to a future time. With the size of 7,900m², it is considered as the performing arts centre in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. Its special surface allows more light to enter. Its two theaters, the large theatre and the small one, can hold about 2,000 people. The project is a complete success. Harbin Opera House has enjoyed many prizes and great fame from home and abroad since people began to plan it. People say it's one of the most beautiful buildings in China and it is the world's best concert halls. There is no doubt that it has become the new symbol of Harbin.

    Welcome to Youth Radio, your radio. Here we're proud to introduce three Amazing Kids.

    Gina, who is thirteen years old, got first prize in the "Young Cook of the Year" competition and she wants to write a recipe book for kids. "I want it to be fun to read and easy enough for children tousle," she says. Gina learned by watching her father, who's also good at cooking, in the kitchen. She wants to encourage other children to cook because "everyone needs to eat so it's a skill that will always be useful!" Seventeen-year-old Brian used to love running until he was hurt in a serious accident three years ago.  He lost part of one leg and didn't even expect to walk again Now he's an athlete who has recently taken part in a long race. "After my accident I wanted to give up," he says. "But now I'm happy to be alive and able to continue running." Helen has always been good at science, but she thought it was too difficult to become an inventor.

    Then she heard about an accident that had happened when a car hit a train in her town. "That gave me an idea," says the clever sixteen-year-old. It took her over a year to invent a small special machine that tells car drivers when a train is coming. One company is already interested in selling it, so it maybe in the shops soon!
