    One summer evening I was sitting by the open window, reading a good novel. I was so 1 the story I was reading that I didn't 2 that it was getting dark. The Phone Call

    It was getting dark. Paul looked out of the window and signed ( 叹气 ). Dad said he could come home by 5:30, but it was almost 7:00.
