I'm Ann. I'm English. I'm twelve. I was born on May 17^th, 1991. I learn Chinese at Beijing No.3 Middle School. I have a good friend. Her name is Lucy. She is twelve, too. We are in the same grade. But we are not in the same(同样的) class. I'm in Class Two, and she is in Class Three. We have the same Chinese teacher. Her name is Zhang Ying. We all like her. Lucy's parents are English teachers in China. She has a sister. Her name is Lily. She is only five years old.

    When my best friend Lesa was seriously ill, I wanted to do something for her.1on the first day of her treatments（治疗）, another friend and I went to the hospital to2some time with her. We bought her a small toy clown（小丑）and3it Lemon-Aide. We gave Lemon-Aide to Lesa. We told her that it was to go with her to all of her treatments. We would like her to4that we were thinking of her even though we could not5be with her. She took Lemon-Aide with her to all of her treatments. When the treatments were6, she said she would pass it to7who was also badly ill.

    Band practice had just ended. Jimmy and Ben started packing up their1. Before Kevin could put his trumpet into the box, he2a music stand. It fell and hit right on his trumpet.

   "Oh, no!" Kevin yelled.

    Jimmy picked up the trumpet and checked it3 before handing it to Kevin. "Well, it already has a lot of dents(凹痕). One more won't matter."

    "I know.  But it's my4," Kevin said. "And he's coming over this weekend."

    "Maybe he won't notice the dent," Jimmy said.

    "Maybe he won't care," Ben added,

    Maybe he could pretend（假装） he felt sick.

    Maybe he could get his baby brother, Jace, to take all of Grandpa's attention.

    "Hey, Kev. How're things?" Grandpa asked as he walked in.

    "Good." Kevin could have told him the8right then, but he froze.

    Any other time, Grandpa's praise would have made Kevin feel great. But not this time. "I'm 11about the dent," he explained what had happened.

    To Kevin's surprise, Grandpa smiled, "Instruments become part of12when you play them a lot. You can't always protect them. The13thing is that you told me."

    Grandpa pointed to the scratches opposite the dent Kevin had made. "I got these when I fell over it14one night."

    "So I'm not the only clumsy(笨拙的)  one in the family?" Kevin said.

    Grandpa laughed, "Every dent and scratch can tell a story, and15you stick with it, someday you'll have your own."

    Grandpa handed the trumpet back to Kevin. "Now tell me a story with music."

    Kevin lifted the trumpet and filled the room with happy noise.

    Long long ago, there was a swan(天鹅)with golden feathers(金羽毛). She lived in a lake. A woman lived in a small house 1 the lake with her two daughters. They were very poor. They worked hard all year round, 2 still, they lived a hard life and sometimes they even didn't have enough 3 to buy food.

    The swan was 4 to see that. She said to herself, "I'll give one of my feathers to them each day, then they can live a happy life with the money selling my feathers." That evening, she 5 to the poor woman's house and left a golden feather on the table without saying 6 From then on, the swam came every day and gave them a feather. Future of Soccer

    This summer, French soccer player Kylian Mbappe amazed the world. He "flew" across the 1, scoring goal after goal, and helped the French team become the world champion (冠军) in the 2018 World Cup. His latest achievement is also surprising.

    Mr. Brown is my uncle. He is 321old. He works in a sports club. His job is to 2the students how to play basketball. He 3 far from the club. He has a car, but he doesn't 4 his car to work. Usually, he goes to work 5bike. He thinks it is good 6 and he can get to the club early when many buses and cars are in the street. Every morning, Mr. Brown gets up at 6:30.
