       A flat is usually in a building. There are usually many f{#blank#}4{#/blank#} living in the same flat building. People in a flat building s{#blank#}5{#/blank#} the same stairs（楼梯） and lift to go up and down.

       A townhouse has two floors. In a townhouse, the kitchen, the living room and dining room are usually on the ground floor, and the bedrooms are usually on the f {#blank#}6{#/blank#}  floor.

       A farmhouse is a house on a farm. There are many farmers living there. There is a large yard （院子） in f{#blank#}7{#/blank#} of it. There are also some “houses” for cows and hens near the farmhouse. The field is not f{#blank#}8{#/blank#} from the farmhouse, so farmers always go to the field on f{#blank#}9{#/blank#}.

       A dormitory is a large bedroom in a s{#blank#}10{#/blank#}, and every 4—8 students share one dormitory. They share the same bathroom, but each student has his or her own bed. Students can learn how to get along well（相处）with each other in a dormitory.

    How do you feel when you have to make a speech in front of class? What about when you go to a birthday party? Do you get really shy?

    Shyness means feeling nervous or frightened when you're around other people. Experts （专家） {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(find)that more than 80 percent of middle school students feel afraid to be the center of attention. Some kids are born shy. Some become shy later because of their life experiences.

    It's OK if it takes you a while {#blank#}2{#/blank#}( feel )yourself again when you go to a new place or meet new people. In fact, everybody {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(get) a little shy sometimes. It's just a case of how much.

    Most people have red faces and talk in broken sentences when they get shy.
