I had a very unusual experience(经历) on Sunday. At ten in the morning, I was 1 down the street when a UFO landed right 2 of me. You can imagine(想象)3 strange it was！An alien 4 and walked down Center Street. I followed it to see 5 it was going, and I was very surprised when it went 6 a souvenir shop. While it was 7 at the souvenirs(纪念品), the shop assistant called the 8. Before the police arrived, the alien left the 9 and then visited the Museum of Flight. 10 the alien was in the museum, I called the TV station. Isn't that amazing!

My school will hold an English Week. The activity time is from 10 March to 15 March. All1 and English teachers will join in the activities. We will have many activities, such as singing English songs, holding speech contests, and watching English movies. But we have a 2 about the plan for the English Week, and all of us have  3 opinions. Some students think it could be a 4 of time, "We should learn English by ourselves, and studying in groups would 5 a lot of time. What's more, we have much homework to do, and there's no time 6 for us to do anything else." However, some other students said we should hold the activity of English Week because we can learn to 7 in groups in that way. It could 8 our English a lot. Studying together would be more interesting. I agree on the second 9 . We need after-class activities, and English Week is 10 useful and meaningful. I think it is worth well being held.

My daughter, Cindy, used to be shy but now she's kind of active and outgoing.

I still remembered one thing. One day last month, Cindy got a stomachache, so I took   her to see a doctor. When we waited in line outside the waiting room, we saw a lady beside us. She looked very upset. Then Cindy gave a smile card to the lady, saying," I hope everything goes well." The lady hugged Cindy and said nothing. Later, Cindy gave out five more smile cards that day.

Last Monday, I went shopping with Cindy in a supermarket. After shopping, we went to the cash register (收银台). To my surprise, I couldn't find my wallet and I didn't know what to do. At that time, a lady came to us and paid for the bill for us. She was just the lady who was at the doctor's that day. I said" thank you" to her. She said,"I was moved by your daughter's kindness." Then I returned the money to her the next day.

Now our family members always enjoy helping others. It makes us happy. And giving out smile cards is a good way to help others.

You don't have to be a scientist to solve big environmental problems. One Dutch designer is finding creative ways to make a change - and he's inviting bikers to join him. 

Daan Ronscgaarde. 38, is a designer from Holland. He uses creative ideas to improve city life. For his Smog（雾霾）Free Project, he designed a special tower that cleans air in Chinese parks. In Holland, he designed a shining bicycle path. 

Now Daan and his team are working with engineers at Chinese bike - sharing company Ofo to create a new product for public use. It's an air - cleaning machine connected to a bicycle and is part of the Smog Free Project. In smoggy weather, the machine would breathe in the air in front of the bike and blow out a stream of clean air toward the biker's face. 

It's no secret that air pollution is a big problem for China. In winter, it's common for thick clouds of haze（霾）, caused largely by factory production, burning of coal and car emissions（排放物） to cover areas of China. 

In 2016, only one - fourth of Chinese cities met the country's air quality standards, according to a survey of 338 cities nationwide from the Ministry of Environmental Protection " 

Of course one tower and a few bikes won't solve China's air pollution problem, " Daan said. " But smog - free bikes are an exciting idea that will hopefully inspire communities to create greener cities. "

I was looking through my old photos last Sunday. One photo{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(catch) my eye. In the photo, I was sitting in a chair, hugging Duke, my best friend in the whole world.

Duke was an interesting name for such{#blank#}2{#/blank#}little dog. But he was my friend from the moment I could walk. He stayed with me in that chair when I read{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(book). When I went outside{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(play) games, he would drive our cats up to the trees and then walk off feeling proud of{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(him). When he was hungry, he would carry his food dish in his mouth and drop{#blank#}6{#/blank#}at my mom's feet. When I was sick, he refused to leave my bed until I got{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(well) than before.

I learned a lot from Duke. I learned that a short sleep at noon could be good{#blank#}8{#/blank#}you. I learned that simplest dinner can be delicious{#blank#}9{#/blank#}you eat it with great enjoyment. I learned that life can be good when you live it with love and joy.   {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(sad), I also learned that life is short, especially if you are a dog.

To me, Duke is like a teacher who has taught me how to love and to be loved.

Every Saturday, Wang Weifang puts on a play with his fiends in a small town near Xian. The audience(观众)can hear them, but they cannot see them. That is because they are putting on a shadow puppet(皮)play. Shadow puppets are made of hard leather(皮革). The leather is cut out in the shape of a person, an animal or an object. Each puppet is painted in bright colors and put on a stick. Some puppets have movable arms and legs. 

During a shadow puppet play, Wang stands behind a white screen with lights behind it. The audience sit in front of the screen. Wang and his friends hold the puppets very close to the screen so that the audience can see the puppets' shadows clearly. Then they move the puppets around and do the voices of the different characters. 

Shadow puppet play is a kind of ancient Chinese art. Now with TV and films, shadow puppet plays are not as popular as before. Wang and his friends often work very hard for little money, but they do not mind. They want to keep this traditional art form alive.
