Once upon a time, there was no tea at all in England. People there used {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (drink) a light beer (啤酒). No coffee or milk but large glasses of beer {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (stand) on the breakfast table!

When tea was {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (one) brought to England, an old couple got some as a special treat. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}they did not know how it should be used. They cooked the{#blank#}5{#/blank#}  (leaf) in hot water, and spread them on a piece of bacon (熏肉) which they were going to have for dinner. They ate the leaves, and threw the tea away! However, tea is becoming{#blank#}6{#/blank#} popular as coffee and milk in England today.

Tea is the leaf of a plant which grows {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (wide) in China, Japan and some other countries. Tea farmers usually grow a great many tea plants on a large piece of land. When the tea leaves {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (pick), it is the busiest time for tea farmers in a year. They pull off the leaves and dry {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (they). In their spare time, they pick out the {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (good) leaves and get them ready for market. In China, whenever a visitor comes into a house, he is served with a cup of tea.

I go to a new school in Cambridge now. I like it very much. I'm making a lot of new friends. 

I'm studying new subjects, like science. It's very interesting. We're using computers and learning how to use the Internet. We write e-mails(电子邮件) to people in different countries. I'm learning how people live in different countries. It's great!

We do P. E. on Wednesday in the afternoon, Sometimes we stay in the sports hall to do sports and I like that too. I play basketball after school on Mondays. I like playing basketball a lot. I'm enjoying my new school!

A man lived happily in a village because everyone praised him.

Long long ago, there was a swan（天鹅）with golden feathers. She lived in a lake. A woman lived in a small house 1 the lake with her two daughters. They were very poor. They worked hard all year round, 2 still, they lived a hard life and sometimes they even didn't have enough 3 to buy food.

The telephone rings and Dong Fei goes to answer it. It's from her father." Feifei, can you come to the airport(机场) at 4:00 next Sunday afternoon? I can be there for only an hour. I have something for you."

" Yes, Daddy! Yes!" says Dong Fei.

After Dong Fei puts down the telephone, her cousin says," Well, I think your father really loves you. What about you? Do you love him?"

" Yes." says Dong Fei.

" Well, do you know it's Father's Day today?" Liu Min says.

" Oh, what? I'm so sorry." says Dong Fei.
