One day, Meg finds that a button(纽扣) of her coat is lost. She looks forthe button everywhere, but she can't find it. The next day, she doesn't wear that coat to school and feels sad all day. After school, she goes to the clothes shops and wants to buy that kind of clothes. But she feels disappointed.

    Meg tells her sister about that, her sister says, “We can change all the buttons. Then the buttons will be the same.” The coat is beautiful again and Meg feels happy again.

    This story happened four years ago. Tom was seven years old then. He was a good boy. He was one of the best pupils in his class. But he could not get up early. He often slept until nine or ten o'clock in the morning. So he was often late for school.

    Tom's mother didn't want him to be late for school. So she bought him a clock. She said to Tom, “You must get up when you hear the clock ring.”

    “Yes, Mum,” said Tom. After that Tom got up at six thirty when he hear the clock ring.

    One day his mother forgot to make the clock ring at the usual time. And the next morning Tom didn't get up at six thirty. It was time for breakfast. Mother went to see him. Tom was still in bed and his eyes were open.

    “Why didn't you get up?” Mother asked angrily.

    “You told me to get up when I heard the clock ring. So I am waiting for the bell. Mum, is the clock still sleeping?” Tom answered.

    Sally Ride was born in California in 1951. She was the first American woman to travel into space. She loved to play tennis and wanted to be a tennis player when she was young. But after three months' professional(专业的) training, she changed her mind. She went to Stanford University and started to study science. She studied stars and planets. She did researches at the university and got her PhD in astrophysics(天体物理学博士学位) after several years' hard work.

    In 1977, she took a test to become an astronaut. And then she was picked up from over 8,000 people. In order to realize her dream of going into space, she had to get different kinds of special and difficult training. She learned how to fly a plane, how to jump out of a plane as well as how to operate(操作) special machines.

    Sally and four other astronauts flew a spaceship called Challenger on Jun. 18, 1983. She became the first American woman to travel into space. Later, she taught at the University of California. Then she wrote seven books on space for children, encouraging children to study science. Unfortunately, she died in 2012.

My grandfather lives in a small village on the east {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (东部的) coast of China. He has a house near the sea, and the house is really big {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(带有)a beautiful garden. All kinds of flowers come out in spring, every year, {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(千) of tourists come and enjoy themselves here. 

Last year, he decided to turn his house into a homestay. There are now seven {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (卧室), each one has a bathroom in it. There is also a very big living room for people to relax. People have a lot things to do there. They can take a walk on the beach after dinner, or take a{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(船) on the sea. They are never bored. 

Most people come {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(在……期间) the summer holiday. And it's the busiest time of the year. My grandfather is friendly and always ready {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(帮助) others, so he makes lots of new friends. The tourists sometimes have some basketball {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(运动项目), I often go and cheer the players. My grandfather always says, "{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(每样事物) is just all right. I really love my life here". 

Summer holiday is coming soon! I am looking forward to {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(拜访) my grandfather again. 

Jenny is my classmate. She is an active but a little shy girl. She always dreams of becoming a  1 . Last week, our classmates and I decided to help Jenny realize her dream. We 2 a wonderful idea to record a short interview video. We used a pen instead of the microphone. We didn't have a video3 , either. So I took the video with a mobile phone.

Jenny started to introduce herself first. She was 4 because her hands were shaking. She also couldn't help laughing when she was watched by other classmates. We did not stop the recording because it's a way to show our 5 feelings. She interviewed our classmates by asking questions like" What is your dream?" Some of them were too shy to speak 6 . Some students were outgoing and they 7 us to fight for our dreams. One student even said we could interview him next time so that he could have more time to 8 . Finally, we finished the interview successfully. Our video got popular in our school.

I think we not only helped realize Jenny's dream but also made a great 9 of our school life. Although we are not experienced, we have love and energy. We may have many 10 on the road to our dreams, but they will come true at last if we keep on with the dream, and we can also become our own heroes.
