Our English teacher was like a friend to us, and we all liked her. One day she came 1 the classroom and shouted, “Who did this?” She held up a piece of broken glass and asked, “Who 2 the window?” She seldom became angry. 3 this time she was.

    I broke the window. I had done that  4 throwing a baseball. I didn't want to admit (承认) it 5 I didn't have enough money to pay for a big window 6 that .“My father will be 7,”I thought. At first I didn't put up my hand, but later something strong in my heart suddenly made me 8 up. “I did it,” I said. How difficult it was for me to say that!

    My teacher 9 a book from one of our book shelves and then began walking towards my desk. I was afraid that she was going to punish(惩罚) me.

    “I know you like collecting 10 very much,” she said, looking down at my 11 face. “Here is the book about collecting stamps that you are looking for. Now, the book is 12 and I shall not punish you. Remember, it's because you 13 the truth.”

    I couldn't believe it! My teacher wasn't punishing me. I didn't 14 to pay for the broken window. And I got my favourite book!

     15 time goes, the book is gone, so is my wonderful teacher. But I will never forget the lesson the teacher gave me that day.

    One day a small boy was walking along the street in London. His name was Tom. It was a cold winter day in 1900. That day he could have no breakfast 1lunch. He wanted to buy bread, but he didn't2any money.

    His father died when he was very young. His mother was often very ill, so she could not 3Tom and his brother, Mike. They had to work to help their sick mother.

    He was small 4 his dream was very big. His wish was to be a great man in the world of film. So he worked very hard on singing and dancing. Then, one day a man came to him and asked, "5 for my film?" "Certainly," he answered. And he did his 6in it. Many people said, "We have never seen  7 interesting film."

    Thirty years 8 , this same boy was among the most famous people in the world. He made many good 9. A lot of people liked 10.

    A little girl lived in a simple and poor house on a hill. Usually she would play in the small garden. She could see over the garden fence and across the valley a wonderful house with shining golden windows high on another hill. 1 she loved her parents and her family, she desired(渴望) to live in such a house and 2 all day about how wonderful and exciting it must feel to live there.

    At the age when she gained some 3 skill and sensibility(识别力), she begged her mother for a bike ride 4 the garden. Her mother finally allowed her to go, insisting on(坚持) her keeping close to the house and not 5 too far. The day was beautiful. The little girl knew exactly where she was heading! 6 the hill and across the valley, she rode to the gate of the golden house. As she got off her bike and put it against the gate post, she focused on the path 7 to the house and then on the house itself. She was very disappointed when she found that all the windows were plain（朴素的） and rather dirty. So sad and heart- broken, she didn't go any further. 

    She 8, and all of a sudden she saw an amazing 9. There on the other side of the valley was a little house and its windows were golden. Looking at her little home, she 10 that she had been living in her golden house filled with love and care. Everything she dreamed was right there in front of her nose!

Henry Leech was a good salesman. He sold lots of products. After a new kind of vacuum cleaner (真空吸尘器) was produced by his factory, he was sent to the countryside to sell it.

He drove out of town and stopped at a farmhouse. He knocked on the door and the farmer's wife opened it. Henry started into his speech immediately.

"Madam, how much time do you spend cleaning the floors?" "A lot of time. This is a farm and things get dirty quickly," said the woman.

"And how much time do you spend beating the carpets(地毯)?" asked Henry.

"A lot of time. My dog lays on them and it always makes a mess on the carpets."

"Well," said Henry, "this is your lucky day." Henry showed her his vacuum cleaner and said, "You can clean the house in 5 minutes with it."

The farmer's wife didn't look interested, but Henry still took out a big bag of dirt(尘土). He opened it and threw it all over the floor. The farmer's wife was very surprised. Before she could speak, Henry said, "Madam, if this machine doesn't pick up every last piece of dirt, I will eat all of it!"

The farmer's wife looked at Henry and said, "WELL, I WILL GET YOU A SPOON. WE HAVE NO ELECTRICITY(电)."

There was a bell (铃铛) on the door of Pappy's shop. It could play pleasant music. Pappy loved it very much.

One day, a little girl walked into his shop." Hello, sir," she greeted him {#blank#}1{#/blank#}."I'd like to buy a present for my grandpa, but I don't know {#blank#}2{#/blank#} I can choose."

" How about a watch?" Pappy suggested.

The little girl didn't answer. She pointed {#blank#}3{#/blank#} that bell and said," I'd like to buy it."

"I'm {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. That's not for sale," Pappy replied." Maybe your grandpa would like this {#blank#}5{#/blank#} radio."

The girl looked at the radio and {#blank#}6{#/blank#} her head. She then begged (祈求道)," Please."

Suddenly Pappy thought of his daughter Mary. He hadn't seen {#blank#}7{#/blank#} for years since she moved abroad. The little girl looked just like Mary, who used to make polite {#blank#}8{#/blank#} like that.

Though Pappy felt a bit sad, he finally agreed.

Later that evening, {#blank#}9{#/blank#} Pappy closed up the shop, he heard a familiar(熟悉的) sound. There in the doorway stood the little girl, ringing the bell. Beside her was his own {#blank#}10{#/blank#}, with the biggest smile he had ever seen.

" Mom says the present is for you," the little girl said.

My name is Kelly. I'm from the UK. Look! This is {#blank#}1{#/blank#} classroom. It's very big and clean. After class, the boys and girls are talking happily

 But what are the school things {#blank#}2{#/blank#} ? They are a book, some notebooks, two {#blank#}3{#/blank#} and  a ruler. There is John's name on the maths book. So it must be his. And Sarah also {#blank#}4{#/blank#} her name on the blue notebook. It is hers. Lucy is happy to find her ruler. I think one of the two erasers is Tony' s. So I ask him, "Tony, is that your eraser?""Oh, yes, it's my eraser." Then, Tony takes away his eraser. What about the other eraser {#blank#}5{#/blank#} the orange notebook? Are these Lily' s?I want to ask Henry for help.
