I'm sitting outside grandpa's pigeon loft（鸽子房）and waiting for Goldie to come home. I'm really nervous about it because I{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (ask) to do an important job.

  Goldie is grandpa's champion（冠军）racing pigeon. She's famous because she {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (win)lots of cups. This morning she had a race-flew two hundred miles away with lots of other pigeons. And now she {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (race) back home.

 ¨Come on, Goldie. Come on. Goldie!" That's me, calling Goldie back home. But I can't see her yet.

   I really want Goldie to win this race.1 want to give grandpa the good news when I {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (see) him tonight in hospital. My eyes search the blue sky. Still no sign of Goldie.

 “Calm（镇静）down,  Danny!” I tell myself.

   But it's hard to be calm. This job is very important. I'll tell you why.

   Before the race, they {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (put)a ring on every pigeon's leg. When Goldie comes back, I've got to catch her {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (take)her ring off, as fast as I can, and put it in a little metal tube(管子）,then put that tube in grandpa's special clock. That records the time that Goldie finished the race. It should be grandpa's job. But while he {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (prepare) for the race, he fell ill suddenly and was sent to the hospital.

  So that's why I'm nervous, waiting for Goldie. I'm getting more nervous every minute, because Goldie {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (be)here by now. But the sky is blue and empty.

“{#blank#}9{#/blank#} (not worry)”I tell myself. “Goldie always comes back. ”But where is she? What I {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (tell)grandpa?

   1 wait until it's nearly dark.1 give up！ Then l lock the other pigeons in the loft.  I've got to see grandpa tonight at the hospital.

    I had a school trip last May Day. We spent {#blank#}1{#/blank#} first four days in Paris. We had a sightseeing of the city, and we {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (visitor) some of the famous places {#blank#}3{#/blank#} the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre. From Paris we traveled down to the south of {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (French) near Marseilles by boat. We spent {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (fifth) days there. There we had a lot of {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (funny). We swam in the sea，and we took a lot of {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (picture). We also did lots of sports {#blank#}8{#/blank#} the beach. We went back a week {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (late) by train. I think the trip was interesting. I like the food best. It was {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (deliciously).

    The doorbell rang and Mrs. Carson opened the front floor. Her heart sank w {#blank#}1{#/blank#} she saw Mrs. Burbridge. W {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Mrs. Burbridge called; she stayed for hours and hours. "Good afternoon, Mrs. Carson," Mrs. Burbridge said. "Do come in," Just a {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Mrs. Carson had feared, Mrs. Burbridge stayed for several hours. It was nearly six o'clock a {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Mr. Carson would be home from work soon……

    Mrs. Carson kept wondering h {#blank#}5{#/blank#} she would ask Mrs. Burbridge to leave without making her angry. "Has your husband got home from work y {#blank#}6{#/blank#}," Mrs. Carson asked. "Oh, yes," Mrs. Burbridge answered. "He always gets home at about five o'clock……" "It's nearly six o'clock. Won't he be getting worried about you?" Mrs. Carson said.

    "I thought of t {#blank#}7{#/blank#}," Mrs. Burbridge said. " b{#blank#}8{#/blank#} it's so pleasant here. We've had such a lovely afternoon. You know w {#blank#}9{#/blank#} I'll do?" I'll ring up my husband a {#blank#}10{#/blank#} tell him to come round, too. May I use your phone, please?"

    I think our life will be very{#blank#}1{#/blank#} in 100 years.I think that life in the future won't be the same as it is today.

    First, people won't {#blank#}2{#/blank#} on the earth.Our cities will be under the sea. Special {#blank#}3{#/blank#} will provide(提供) air and light, but the environment won't be the {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Trees and plants won't grow because there won't be any soil. For this reason, people won't be able to grow{#blank#}5{#/blank#}Most of food will be in the form of a pill. If there is no{#blank#}6{#/blank#} in the sea, people will also eat fish.

    Second, I think people's everyday life will be different. No one will have to do housework.They won't have to work long hours, because{#blank#}7{#/blank#} and robots will help them. So, people will have more free {#blank#}8{#/blank#} and they will be able to enjoy the things they like -- sports, for example. Finally, I{#blank#}9{#/blank#} that everyone will be able to {#blank#}10{#/blank#} to the moon for a holiday.

    In a word, I believe the future world will be an place to live in.
