 In recent years, more and more children in the US are interested in learning Chinese and learning about China. Seven-year-old Anna        {#blank#}1{#/blank#}  (study) Chinese for two years in the Confucius（孔子）Classroom in Washington Yuying Public Charter School. During class, Anna and the other children are interested in introducing themselves and teaching visitors how  {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  (say) “hello”, “thank you” and “goodbye” in Chinese.

 For the last hundred years, people of two villages in Sumatra have used a 30-metre-long bridge. It {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (make) of the roots（树根）of   two trees on each side of the river.

 Pakih Sohan, a teacher, began to build the bridge in 1890. Because of the river, many children  {#blank#}5{#/blank#}   (not, go) to school. It took Pakih Sohan more than 26 years to make the strong bridge. The bridge {#blank#}6{#/blank#}  (become) stronger and stronger because the roots grow all the time.

 On rainy days people should cross the bridge carefully. When it  {#blank#}7{#/blank#}  (rain), the bridge will become wet and slippery(滑的). More and more people travel there just to take some photos and try crossing it.

    Lisa Hawkins loves riding her BMX bike （极限单车）and her dream is to go to the Olympics. And Lisa first got interested in BMX racing at the age of ten. He tried his best to swim towards the bank of the river, but {#blank#}4{#/blank#} （失败）. His life hung by a single thread. Just at that time, a kind birdflew over. He was so thankful to the bird for saving hislife.

Not long after that, the bird was sitting onthe branch of a tree. He didn't know that not far from him, a man raised hisgun and was about to shoot at {#blank#}7{#/blank#} （他）. However, it happened that the bee saw that. He {#blank#}8{#/blank#} （意识到） what the situation was like . As quickly as he could, he flewinto the man's {#blank#}9{#/blank#} （眼睛）and stung him. The pain in his eyes was so great that the man hadto give up shooting at the bird.

    The surprise party is very popular in America. Most of the Americans think it is very exciting to have surprise parties for their f{#blank#}1{#/blank#}or family members. The second man was very strong. He said loudly," I don't think so. Soldiers use guns. So they are the strongest." The third man said, "Soldiers use guns, {#blank#}7{#/blank#}our general gives orders, so I think our general is the strongest." The {#blank#}8{#/blank#} man was the oldest. He said, "Love is the strongest. {#blank#}9{#/blank#} love, people don't need to use guns." The general said nothing but took out a medal(奖牌) and {#blank#}10{#/blank#}it to the oldest soldier.
