Yesterday I stepped into a restaurant for lunch. As I was waiting my order to come, I noticed the old man in a wheelchair roll himself over to a table. No one and me seemed to notice him. I got up and go over to his table and asked if that I could get him something to drink. He smiled and said," Thank you. You are generously. I'd like any orange juice, please."When I was getting ready to leave, I walked by the old man's table to saying goodbye. He thanked me again and told me I had made his days, coming over and helping him out. I gave him a hug and told him he had made my day, either.

    My friend Mike have benefited greatly from humor. He is kind but overweight, that brings him a lot of problems. Once one of my classmates laughed him,“ Why are you so fat?” We all stopped to stare at Mike, wonder how he would answer the question. She just said in a calm voice, “Well, because of my size must be large enough to hold my large heart of love.” Hearing his word, we all burst into laughter. Not only does Mike take the joke, but he also managed to cope with the embarrassed situation. What a important part humor plays in our daily life!

    I always wanted to be great scientist. I had these dreams of discovering a new drug that would save the life of hundreds of people.     Last Sunday, while eat in a restaurant, I noticed a bowl full of dumplings on the table next to mine. They must have left by someone. Just then, an old man came in. Judging from her clothes, I believed he were poor. He saw the dumplings left on the table. Being shyly, he sat down and started eating. The others around look at him, puzzled, but some even laughed at him. Therefore, after finishing the dumplings, he went up to the donation box on the counter, put one hundred yuan in it and left, leaving us all shocked and ashamed about.

    What qualities do you think heroes should have? To me, heroes are brave and helpful. They're people you respect of. My heroes are the volunteers who go to the earthquake-hit areas last week. The disaster caused great damages to the areas. Therefore, the volunteers' efforts relieved the victims' suffering. They helped the victims by giving themselves food, water and shelter. They were also many doctors and nurses who volunteered help the wounded. The rescue work turned out dangerously, but no one showed fear nor gave up rescue the unfortunate people. I think nothing is equal to which the brave people did in the earthquake.
