    A class teacher, in my opinion, plays an important role in a child's development. Every year when my daughter moves to a new class, I have a usual big worry –her new class teacher. This year, she is moving to Class Three and I can't wait to see how things are going on.

    Last year, my daughter did not like her teacher at all. It was so bad that she did not look forward to school. It was a year full of trouble and worries.

    This year, Miss Purity is gentle and humorous. It's hard not to like her. Here are the changes in my daughter.

    She becomes an early bird. Last year, mornings were like a fight because I had to force Tasha to hurry up when she was preparing for school. I had to pull her out of bed, tell her to take breakfast and then drove her to school. But now, our mornings are like a party. She wakes up early, prepares everything at a high speed and then rushes to school to be with Miss Purity.

    She's happy. She enjoys school and school work and keeps talking about what they did at school when she comes home.

    She's responsible. She used to be careless and forgetful. But now she never forgets even her water bottle at school. She makes her bed and helps in the kitchen.

    Her diary is full of praises. The diary is the tool of communication between the teacher and the parents. Last year, her diary was always full of negative reports. One time, she poured water in a child's lunchbox, another time she threw another kid's textbook in the toilet. Now she began to share her snacks with those who did not have anything. She's always volunteering to clean the blackboard, the teacher's chair and desk.

    She does well in school. Finishing her classwork was such a big problem. She had to do it at home. But now, she finished both the classwork and homework at school.

    It was summer. A duck was sitting on many eggs in her house. Her little ducks were going to come to the world. One little duck after another came out from the eggs. The last baby was big and ugly. His brothers and sisters weren't willing to play with him because he was too ugly. Even his mother hated him too. And the girl who fed them kicked him.

    The poor little duck was so sad that he ran away from home in the winter. On his way, a big dog appeared, but the dog did not come close to him. "Oh, I am so ugly that even the dog won't bite me." the duck said to himself.

A kind farmer took him home when the weather got colder. He stayed there for a whole winter and left when the spring came.

    One day, he met three beautiful white swans (天鹅) when he was swimming in a lake. They swam toward him. He was afraid to make friends with them. But what did he see in the clear water? He was no longer a dark grey ugly duck. He was a beautiful swan himself. How amazing! He never dreamed that he could be so beautiful.

    Thank you for your postcard. I'm very glad you are having a good trip now. Ottawa is very beautiful in May. I hope I will have a chance to go there one day.

    Our summer holiday will start next month. I enjoy my summer holiday, although(虽然)it's hot at that time in America. During the summer holiday, I can swim in the sea and go fishing. It's so cool. And I am going to our hometown near Chicago with my sister Linda, and my parents agree(同意). Our uncle lives there, so Linda and I can stay with him.

    We are not going to take a plane. We are going there by train. I am going to fish there. And Linda likes painting. She is going to do some painting there. I'm sure we'll have a good time.

    It's Sunday. There are many people in the bus. And an old man is looking here and there. He wants to find an empty seat(座位). Then he finds one. He goes to it. A small bag is on the seat. And a young man is sitting beside it.

    "Is this seat empty？"asks the old man.

    "No, it's for a woman. She goes to buy some bananas，"says the young man.

    "Well," says the old man." Let me sit here please. When she comes back, I will(将) leave here." The bus starts(启动)." She doesn't come，but her bag is here. Let me give her the bag." Then the old man throws the bag out of the bus window.

    The young man jumps up and shouts，"Don't throw! It's my bag!"

    Do you want to watch movie called The Bear? Please learn more about it and experience some serious feelings.

    It tells us a story between two bears. A young baby bear loses his mother in a terrible accident, and he has to live by himself. He meets a lot of problems and lives a hard life.

    Another strong bear is run after by the hunters. They can't catch him but finally hurt him, so he can't move easily. When the baby bear meets him，he wants to become his friend. At first, the strong bear doesn't like him but finally he is touched by the young bear's kindness. So he helps the baby bear solve many problems like his fighting with a cougar(美洲狮).

    There aren't any talking animals, but the movie is funny for kids of most ages. However, we wouldn't call it a children's movie. From the exciting movie about the two bears, a cougar and the hunters, we can know that the true meaning about life is that "The greatest skill(技能) is not to kill but to let live".
