In 1995, Ma Yun was working for a US trading company（公司）when he was introduced to the Internet. "I know nothing about computers and has never touched a keyboard," he said. He searched the word "beer" and nothing came up about Chinese products.

Ma Yun had an idea. Why not build a large Internet market to connect customers with companies from all over the world? They could do business online in that way. That was how Alibaba began. His company grew quickly. But that didn't mean everything went smoothly. In 2000, many Internet companies failed including Alibaba. But later, he was successful because he managed to attract(吸引) investment（投资）into his company. "You should stick to your dream," he said. "Everyone thought I was daydreaming when I started. But the most important thing is that we believe in our dream from past to today and tomorrow. Of course we made many mistakes, but we never give up."

Ma Yun is also smart. For him, success in business is like trying to catch a rabbit. If there are nine rabbits, focus on catching one - don't try to catch them all," he said. "Change your ways if you need to, but don't change the rabbit. Get one first, put it in your pocket and then catch the others."

    Tom is ten years old. He loves watching TV. But for one year, he didn't watch TV at all. What was the reason? Tom's parents said they would give him $600 if he didn't watch TV for a year. Tom's parents thought he watched TV too much.

    One day his mother read a story in a newspaper about a boy who didn't watch TV for a year. She showed the story to Tom. Tom liked the idea. He turned off the TV right away, and said," It doesn't trouble me not to watch TV. I just want the money. "At first, Tom's parents were very happy. Tom read books and newspapers, played outside, and played computer games, but soon he got bored.

    Every evening, he asked his parents." What are we doing tonight?" Sometimes his mother and father wished he would watch TV just for one evening. Tom always said," No, it would cost me money!" Finally the year was over, Then Tom started watching his favorite TV shows all day again. Tom got the money from his parents. What did he plan to do with the $600?"I want to buy myself a TV set!" he said.

    Once upon a time, the colors in the world started to argue. All thought they were the most important and useful.

    Green said, "I'm the symbol of life and hope. I was chosen for grass, trees and leaves. Look around and you will see me everywhere."

    Blue followed, "You only consider the earth, but look at the sky and the sea."

    Yellow smiled, "I bring hope and warmth into the world. Look at the color of the sun and the moon."

    Orange continued, "I'm the color of joy. My beauty is so fantastic that no one can think of you at sunrise or sunset."

    Red shouted out, "I'm the ruler of you. I'm the color of life and live. So nobody can take my place." Purple stood up, "I'm the color of power. People never question me! They just listen and follow."

    Finally, indigo(靛青色) spoke slowly. "I stand for thought and reflection(反省).Yet all of you just need them."

    Suddenly, the sky became dark and rain started to pour down. The colors all gathered(聚集) in fear. Rain began to speak, "Join hands and come to me."

    The colors did as they were told. Rain added, "Don't you know you each are made for a certain purpose? When it rains, appear together to show that you can all live in peace. The rainbow(彩虹) is the color of your friendship."

Today, I felt bad after dinner. So I went out and took a walk in the street at 7:00 pm. While I was walking, I saw an old man selling vegetables. He looked very tired and nobody was buying his vegetables. I wanted to give him something but I brought nothing with me.

Then, a little girl went to him and said,"Excuse me, may I polish(擦亮) your shoes? I need money to buy a new school uniform (校服)."The old man answered,"Oh! Come with me and I will buy you a school uniform." Then they walked to a shop and he bought her a school uniform. The girl thanked him and left happily, leaving the old man smiling.

The old man walked away from the shop, but then I stopped him. I said, "You make the best day of my life. Thank you for your kindness!"As I walked away, I looked back and I could see him still smiling. I felt better and walked home.

On February 9th, 2013, Sarah Darling was walking along the street when she met a homeless man named Billy Ray Harris. She reached into her purse, emptied out all the coins she had and gave them to the homeless man. Neither of them realized that this small act would change their lives. 

Sarah didn't realize that she had given Billy not only all her change but also her diamond ring (钻戒) that she had put in her purse earlier until the following morning. She and her husband, Bill Krejci, rushed to see if they could find Billy. The homeless man was not only in the same place, he also immediately returned the ring. The grateful couple paid him back for his honesty by emptying out their pockets of all the money they had. 

Bill Krejci, a web designer, felt that he needed to do something more for this honest man. So on February 18th, he set up a special page to raise money for him. In just four days, Billy received over $85, 000 and there seems to be no end yet. 

That is not enough. Billy is living with a person who is generous (慷慨的) instead of living in the streets. And that's not all—thanks to the news report, he got together again with his older brother, Edwin Harris, who he had been unable to find for 27 years. 

All the good luck is just because Billy did the right thing—returning something that did not belong to him.
