Siva, the wise father of Ganesh,once called his two sons and suggested a small contest.

Murugan,Ganesh's brother,glowed with pride knowing the prize would soon be{#blank#}2{#/blank#},for he could fly{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(swift) in his chariot（敞篷双轮马车）,circle the earth,and be back in only hours,while his big,clumsy brother Ganesh would take so much{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(long) to do the same.

Bidding farewell to his parents,Murugan set off happily.Ganesh thought for a moment,then smiled and{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (begin) to move.His large elephant with its heavy trunk did slow him down,{#blank#}6{#/blank#}he did not have far to go.For he simply walked carefully{#blank#}7{#/blank#}both of his parents.In a few minutes he had circled them,{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (stand) respectfully in front of his father once again.

    “Father, please give me the prize,”he said.

    “Why? You did not go around the world.You stayed right here,”replied Siva.

    “But Father,” argued Ganesh, “I have just gone around the world.You see, my parents are indeed the{#blank#}9{#/blank#}world to me.”His parents smiled, well pleased.

    Much later, a tired Murugan returned home.{#blank#}10{#/blank#}, the prize was already eaten up.And now you know who won it and why.

    A free program {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (help) Milwaukee Public High School students realize their theater dreams at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts.

    "My mom put me in acting classes {#blank#}2{#/blank#} I was seven because I was {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (extreme) shy," says 17-year-old Beatrice Low.

    "And I just {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (take) to it like a duck to water, I guess."

    Today, she's having the chance {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (work) one-on-one with a professional, touring actress through program at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts.

    "I can't describe it, it's amazing, I love it," Low says.

    It {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (call) "Arts Connect" and pairs a class of young actors with theater professionals for a weeklong workshop.

    During one session, Beatrice works with actress Teri Hansen. She was in Milwaukee for the Marcus Center's recent touring {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (produce) of "An American in Paris."

    "It's the favorite thing that I do, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (work) with aspiring artists," Hansen says.

    Together they work {#blank#}9{#/blank#} a song from the Andrew Loyd Weber musical "Tell Me on a Sunday," with an audience of Beatrice's young peers. No pressure.

    The Marcus Center makes the Arts Connect program free for students from three Milwaukee public high schools. It's has been {#blank#}10{#/blank#} invaluable—even life-changing—experience, Beatrice says.

    Recently I failed an exam. However, {#blank#}1{#/blank#}I came out of my teacher's office, I told myself, "Smile! It's not so serious."

    I smiled a big smile and it {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (work) a little, really.

    Everyone gets {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (frustrate) sometimes. I used to be always influenced by pressure and I was often in low spirits. But one day I came {#blank#}4{#/blank#}a sentence in the Bible, "Do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself, let the day's own trouble be sufficient for the day." It suddenly struck me，"{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(worry) about a problem doesn't help. Why not just {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(give) a big smile and face up to the trouble？"

    Now every time I want to cry, I remind myself that{#blank#}7{#/blank#} (laugh) is better than tears and anger. I {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(convince) that there's something magical about a smile. A smile helps me recover confidence and gives me the courage to move on.

    Remember, whenever you're faced with a setback, whenever you've been treated {#blank#}9{#/blank#}（fair), all it takes is determination and you can feel happy again. Smile at life, {#blank#}10{#/blank#}it will shine on you.

    On hearing the news that a Reading Festival is to be held on campus on the World Book and Copyright Day and the possible project is open to be recommended, I {#blank#}1{#/blank#} hardly wait to write to you, sharing my humble opinions.

    As far as I'm concerned, the theme of the festival can be “sharing”, primarily {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (consist) of three parts. Firstly, the festival can start with a 30-minute discussion where groups of students can exchange and share what they {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (expose) to recently, expressing themselves freely. Following this section is the speech. Teacher and student representatives previously selected by us are to share and recommend the book they think really deserving to be read. It's needless to say that the last sharing section which is the most meaningful is donation, during {#blank#}4{#/blank#} time everyone present, teachers or students, is expected to donate one or more books to the library. As for when {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (hold) the activity, the afternoon may be an ideal choice so that it won't interrupt our classes.

    My advice is justified by the following reasons. First and foremost, it is in the group discussion and exchange that we students can have a thorough idea {#blank#}6{#/blank#} our peers are reading for the moment, serving as a driving force for our own reading journey. So it is {#blank#}7{#/blank#} the books recommended. Named by those “idols” in our mind, they will definitely win our heart. As for the donation, the benefits are exactly self-evident. {#blank#}8{#/blank#} can we share beyond our class or even beyond our school, developing a good campus tradition, but {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (importantly), these books which are sure to be dusted on our shelves can now be of more value.

    China successfully landed the Chang'e 4 lunar probe(月球探测器)on the far side of the moon on January 3,2019, becoming the only country in history{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(touch) the lunar surface unseen by those on Earth.     The Chang'e 4 spacecraft consists{#blank#}5{#/blank#}two parts:a lander and a rover(巡视器).
