Nowadays, people argue a lot about if or not to celebrate western festivals, as western festivals are becoming more and more popular in China, especial among young people. They said they celebrate western festivals because they are exciting than Chinese festivals. In my opinion, western festivals are basing on the cultural traditions of the western country, and I see no reason why we should celebrate their festivals. We are Chinese, and we mustn't forget our cultural roots. In fact, Chinese cultural traditions are really great, but we should take pride in it. On a word, I am prefer Chinese festivals.

The winter holiday is coming. My classmates and I are talking about how to do during the holiday. We can chose between staying at home and take a trip. During the last summer holiday, I went on a journey to Beijing, that I visited the Great Wall and the Palace Museum. Much to their surprise, there were so much visitors in all the scenic spots that I had to push my way through the crowd. To be honesty, I had a hard time all the way and didn't find the visit enjoyable or worthwhile at all.

As far as I am concerning, many people have the same experience, so I think that the number of tourist in some popular places of interest should be limited. In an addition, it's better for us travel at different time periods. Only on this way can we enjoyed the beautiful scenery there.

This summer, I attended a journalism-themed summer camp, where I learn a lot.

I was deeply impressed by the interviews carrying out in the streets. In the beginning, I wasn't used to talk to strangers. But under the help of my teammates, I was able to communicate smooth with them. Then we were noticed most of the answers that we got were brief. Before we discussed the problem, my teammates and I realized that it was because the questions weren't open-ended enough. So we changed their questions and our interviewees were more willing to share with us their ideas in end.

From this experience, I've gained several skill for interviewing people as a journalist.

One Saturday morning, I suddenly noticed my room was in a completely mess, what really annoyed me. I realized too many useful things took up a lot of space. So I decided to throw it away and do some cleaning. It took me a whole day get all the works done. Finally the room was tidy again and everything was in the order.

This was also true for life: we add more and more to our life, hoped to get a better life. But sometimes the more we add, the bad our life becomes. After all, sometimes less is more.
