The other day, my friends and I talked about the rules we have in school. At our school, we have to wear uniforms every day.

    The {#blank#}1{#/blank#} is that all my classmates think the uniforms are {#blank#}2{#/blank#} .We think young people should look smart and we would like to wear our own clothes. Our {#blank#}3{#/blank#} believe that if we did that, we would concentrate more on our clothes than our studies. We disagree. We would{#blank#}4{#/blank#} more comfortable and that is good for studying. If we can't do that, we should be allowed to design our own uniforms. That would be a good way to keep {#blank#}5{#/blank#}teachers and students happy.
    It's also probably a good idea for parents to {#blank#}6{#/blank#}  teenagers to study in groups during the evening. I know we get noisy sometimes, but we learn a lot {#blank#}7{#/blank#} each other. We also think that vacations should be {#blank#}8{#/blank#} .At present they're too short. Longer vacations would give us time to do things like volunteering. Last summer I{#blank#}9{#/blank#} an opportunity to volunteer at the local hospital, but I couldn't {#blank#}10{#/blank#} I had to go back to school. It would be a good experience for me because I want to be a doctor when I'm older.

    It's clear that everyone needs to sleep. Most people seldom {#blank#}1{#/blank#}．how and why they sleep, however. We know that if we sleep well, we feel rested. If we don't sleep enough , we often{#blank#}2{#/blank#}.

    It seems there are two purposes of sleep: physical rest and mental （精神的）rest. We need to rest our bodies and minds. Both are important in order {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. Each night we change between two kinds of sleep: active sleep and passive sleep. The passive sleep gives our body the rest that is needed and prepares us for active sleep, in which dreams occur（发生）.

    It is often said that the Irish are the friendliest people in the world. I think it is true! We love to make{#blank#}7{#/blank#} and we often give others a warm welcome.
