    I often quarrel about my mother over whether I can watch TV after school. She holds view that senior three students have to make fully use of every minute to work hard at their lessons. It seems to me that once I am allowed to do that, I'll unable to control myself and forget all about my study. She also thinks it is bad for my eye. But I really can't accept her ideas. In my opinion, watch TV can set my mind at rest after a day's hard works. Besides, it is important for us to know what had happened at home and at abroad.     It is clearly shown that many middle school students have physical and mentally problems. 68% of the students surveying have studying anxiety as well as poor eyesight too. And a larger percentage lacks sleep. 52% are short of physical exercise. 42% of the students won't obey our parents or teachers. Personally, I think we student should balance physical exercise and studies. Without good health, one can't achieve anything. However, too much attention has been paid only on studies. As a result, I suggest we are given less homework, but more time will be left for afterschool activities. Only in this way can we live energetic and healthy life.

    My father and I stayed at the South Lake Hotel for a week when we visit Beijing last month. It is in the downtown area, but it is easy to go to anywhere from the hotel by public transport .We lived in a comfortably double-room with a big bath. What I liked best were the free high-speed Internet connection in the room. I checked my email messages every day. I also shared for my friends many photos taking in Beijing. The food was wonderful with reasonable prices, and we enjoyed several local dish.

It is such great hotel that I would recommend it to any friend of me who is going to Beijing.

    It was our English teacher's birthday yesterday. Though English is a hard subject, but I like my English teacher a lot, and so are my classmates. She is nice to us and always tell us stories of the days when she was in her twenty. Sometimes she even stayed in school to help students make up their lessons. She always encourages us and tells us do our best. We are gratefully to her, so that we bought him a cake and a gift. We even made a big card for her, on it we wrote all our names. Seeing these, she was moving and had a big smile in her face.
