宁夏银川一中2019届高三英语第二次模拟考试试卷(含小段音频)

根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。

A. Consider the touch barrier.

B. Consider how you insult each other.

C. They should know that you are not serious.

D. These are sure signs that your friends trust you.

E. Are they acting fake—perhaps hiding an insecurity?

F. True friends should not get one another into trouble.

G. True friends will remain faithful and find their way through a fight.

    Sometimes it can be hard to recognize a true friend, one who is loyal (忠诚的) and one who is worth keeping by your side. The suggestions provided in this article will help to guide you in working out which friends are likely to be true.

    Be able to trust your friends. You should be able to trust true friends and they should return this trust. Your friends tell you secrets that no one else knows. Let you share secrets. Ask you for advice. However, if your friends hide things from you and act secretive, this could be a sign that they do not trust you, but it could also mean your friends keep to themselves or don't like to reveal too much about themselves.

    Consider comfort. How comfortable do your friends feel when they are around you? Watch them, are they being themselves or are they timid (胆怯的) around you? True friendships can take a while to develop, but if your friends are true, they should feel comfortable around you.

    This is not meant in a romantic way, but consider whether your friends are comfortable with the touch. If your friends are fine with hugging you, leaning on you, resting their heads on your shoulder and so forth, then you can judge they love you.

    Think about loyalty. True friends are always there for one another. If you are in need of a helping hand, your true friends should be there to offer it to you. You can trust friends with anything, knowing that they will be loyal and will not let your secrets out.

    Look at how you fight. Nearly all best friends fight; so if you and your friend have a little dispute (争论), don't sweat it! They will not tell each other's secrets and they still care about each other.

    Food safety is a problem in all places around the world and people in different areas of the world prepare foods in different ways. The WHO released five simple rules for preparing food in a safe way.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}

    Key 1: Keep clean.

    The first key tells about the importance of washing. People should wash their hands often—before touching food, while they are preparing food, and any time after they go to the toilet. People should wash all surfaces and equipment used for preparing food.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}

Food like soup must be boiled for at least a minute to make it be cooked completely. It is also important that people re-heat cooked food completely.

    Key 4: Keep food at safe temperatures.

At room temperature, about 20℃, the amount of micro-organisms can increase very quickly.{#blank#}4{#/blank#}They cannot grow as quickly in a very hot or very cold environment.

    Key 5: Use safe water and raw materials.

Home libraries can be a dynamic expression of the owner's personality. Creating a home library is a fun way to display your interests while establishing a special space for reading.

While there's no right or wrong way to design a library, the questions can be puzzling, especially to someone with hundreds or thousands of books. How do I organize?{#blank#}1{#/blank#} We'll discuss how to build a home library that works for you.

What room should I use for my home library?{#blank#}2{#/blank#} While reading in a room with big windows and lots of light is refreshing, storing books in natural light is harmful to them. Basements heavy with humidity (湿气) will cause mold (霉菌) and attract insects.{#blank#}3{#/blank#}

When you started using the public library, you probably learned about Melvil Dewey and his system for ordering libraries. The Dewey Decimal Classification System has ten broad categories for organizing books, including philosophy, religion and the arts.{#blank#}4{#/blank#} For example, when you want a book on modern art, you head to the 700th block. Larger libraries, such as those at universities, tend to use the Library of Congress Classification System, because it offers a more specific array of subjects for categorization, adding subjects such as medicine and law for a total of 21categories.

{#blank#}5{#/blank#} Your home library may or may not be as large as your local public library, but a good system of organization will still help you find the book you want quickly. You could take a page from Dewey and the Library of Congress and sort books by subject matter. Sections for subjects such as history, technology or fiction might make their retrieval (检索) easier. This system will also allow you to highlight a particular passion, such as an extensive collection of World War II history,

A. How do I get everything to fit?

B. Each category is assigned a number.

C. Almost everybody wants a home library.

D. A good system of organization is the key.

E. In addition, basements are likely to be flooded.

F. Almost any room will do with a few exceptions.

G. The size of a home library depends on how much space you can spare.
