Many people think when they become rich and successful, happiness will {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(nature) follow. However, the world is full of rich people who are miserable as if they {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(live) in Hell. We have read some stories about movie stars who committed suicide {#blank#}3{#/blank#}died from drugs. Quite clearly, money is not the only answer {#blank#}4{#/blank#}all problems. Wealth{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(acquire) through dishonest means does not bring happiness. In my view, the secret to happiness lies in your hard work, your {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(contribute) towards others' happiness and your wealth you earn through your own effort. If you get your money by taking advantage of others, you will not be happy with it. Long-term happiness{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(base) on honesty, hard work and self-esteem. Happiness is not {#blank#}8{#/blank#}end; it is a process. It is no use saying that some day when I get a car, build a house or own my own business, then I will be really happy. Life just does not work that way. If you wait for certain things {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(happen) to make you happy, you will always feel unfulfilled. There will always be something {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(miss).

    One night last February, a seventeen-year-old Duffy drove home along a winding road, he saw a strange light thrown against the tree. “I knew it wasn't the moon”, he said. “I drive this road all {#blank#}1{#/blank#}time and I notice little things out of place.”

    Duffy stopped his car and got out {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(examine). Below him far down in the deep valley lay a broken car with its headlights on. Thirty minutes earlier, a man had driven off the edge of the road, which has no guardrail(护栏).     Life-saving {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(deed) are starting to become usual action for Duffy, the oldest of seven children. When he was 12, he saved his ten-year-old brother from drowning. Two years ago, his three-year-old sister {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(eat) rat poison, and Duffy {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(instant) cleaned out her mouth, make her drink milk to protect her stomach and called doctors.

    “We personal belief is that it is{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(meaning) for us to teach the children good values, and it looks like we have got some reward for it.” his father says.

    There is a woman {#blank#}1{#/blank#}（name）Daisy who has devoted all her life to {#blank#}2{#/blank#}（attend）to the homeless children.     Daisy had always longed to help endangered species of wildlife. Then the carpet flew her to Zimbabwe {#blank#}3{#/blank#} she met an elephant. The elephant said they used to be {#blank#}4{#/blank#} endangered species because local farmers hunted them without mercy. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(fortunate), their number was now increasing {#blank#}6{#/blank#} the help of the government. So when learning that more attention was paid to {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(protect) wildlife, Daisy felt happy. Her final stop was a thick rainforest. A monkey was seen rubbing a millipede insect over {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(it) body. Out of {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(curious), Daisy asked the monkey what the millipede contained. Knowing it contained a powerful drug, Daisy could hardly wait {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(share) the good news with WWF.

    The story goes {#blank#}1{#/blank#} two friends are walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they have {#blank#}2{#/blank#} argument, and one friend beats the other one in the face.

    The one is hurt, but {#blank#}3{#/blank#} saying anything, he writes in the sand: "Today my best friend beats me in the face."

    They keep on walking {#blank#}4{#/blank#} they find an oasis (绿洲) and they decide to take a bath. The one who{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (beat) gets stuck in the mire (泥潭) and starts to sink, but {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (fortune) the friend saves him.

    After he recovers from the near {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (drown), he writes on a stone: "Today my best friend saves my life."

    His friend asks him, "When I hurt you, you wrote in the sand, but now you write on a stone. Why?"

    He {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(reply): "When someone hurts us, we should write it down in the sand, the winds of {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (forgive) can rub it away. But when someone does something good to us, we must carve {#blank#}10{#/blank#} on a stone, therefore, no wind can ever erase it."
