Last summer, Tina had to stay with Aunt Betsy in California because her{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(parent) needed to work in another city for a month.

    Tina never saw Aunt Betsy{#blank#}2{#/blank#}so she was a little nervous. Aunt Betsy told her the {#blank#}3{#/blank#}in California was sunny, so Tina{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(take) some shorts and T-shirts. She put some books and magazines in her bag because she liked{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(read). Her favorite book were about horses.

    On the{#blank#}6{#/blank#}to Aunt Betsy's house, Tina saw many horses on the farm. Tina liked it very much and she wished she could have a horse some day.

    When they{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(arrive) at Aunt Betsy's house, Tina saw a tall brown horse!

    "Have you{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(see)the brown horse? Her name is Lucky. Usually, I visit her{#blank#}9{#/blank#}a week, every Saturday afternoon for an hour. We can go riding together this weekend, "said Aunt Betsy.

    Tina felt happy her aunt and she had the{#blank#}10{#/blank#}hobby. It was going to be a wonderful vacation.

    There is a nature park in the southwest of our city. The government built it {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(protect) the rare animals. The nature {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(park) has been the {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(symbolize) of our city.

    Yesterday my friends and I visited it. The workers there asked us not {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(feed) animals. Many animals are in {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(dangerous) because people kill them for their meat and fur. Another reason is that people are taking {#blank#}6{#/blank#}their land and making their water {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(undirty). The situation {#blank#}8{#/blank#}becoming very serious.

    I learnt much yesterday. I think people should {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(set) up more comfortable houses for the animals and help them live {#blank#}10{#/blank#} peace. We should do our best to protect them, because protecting them is protecting ourselves.

    My holiday with Grandparents was great! They moved to Arizona when I was five. This was my first time to travel by {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(I).The village is on the top of a tall hill. I wasn't sure if I could climb that high. I also wanted to know if Grandma and Grandpa would act {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(different) in this village than they did in our apartment(公寓) in New York.

    Grandpa met me at the airport. As we drove away from the city, I enjoyed the beauty of the desert(沙漠). Soon we arrived {#blank#}3{#/blank#}the village. I looked down and found that we were so high up. I felt {#blank#}4{#/blank#}a bird!

    Grandma{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(wait) for us. Their rooms were cool under the hot sun. Grandma said the building was made of stones(石头) and the stones kept the rooms cool.

    After {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(eat) lunch, we took a walk outside. We visited the "kiva": it is a large room {#blank#}7{#/blank#}the Hopi people go for special events.

    I really liked the Hopi people. They were {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(friend) to me. One man helped me make a gift to take home to Mum. The children and I played ball games. It seemed {#blank#}9{#/blank#}I was part of the big family in the village. It was hard {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(leave) my grandparents when my two weeks were over. I hope to live in Walpi for two more weeks!
