The other day, my friends and I talked about the rules we have in school. At our school, we have to wear uniforms every day.

    The {#blank#}1{#/blank#} is that all my classmates think the uniforms are {#blank#}2{#/blank#} .We think young people should look smart and we would like to wear our own clothes. Our {#blank#}3{#/blank#} believe that if we did that, we would concentrate more on our clothes than our studies. We disagree. We would{#blank#}4{#/blank#} more comfortable and that is good for studying. If we can't do that, we should be allowed to design our own uniforms. That would be a good way to keep {#blank#}5{#/blank#}teachers and students happy.
    It's also probably a good idea for parents to {#blank#}6{#/blank#}  teenagers to study in groups during the evening. I know we get noisy sometimes, but we learn a lot {#blank#}7{#/blank#} each other. We also think that vacations should be {#blank#}8{#/blank#} .At present they're too short. Longer vacations would give us time to do things like volunteering. Last summer I{#blank#}9{#/blank#} an opportunity to volunteer at the local hospital, but I couldn't {#blank#}10{#/blank#} I had to go back to school. It would be a good experience for me because I want to be a doctor when I'm older.

    Lin Tao is a student at Yingshan Middle School. He works very hard at school. He is the{#blank#}1{#/blank#} student in his class. He has a very healthy lifestyle now. But a year ago he was not so {#blank#}2{#/blank#} . He often felt {#blank#}3{#/blank#} after a day's work. His parents wanted him to do sports every day. But he said that he didn't like {#blank#}4{#/blank#} sports. After dinner, his parents asked him to go for a walk with them, but he only liked {#blank#}5{#/blank#} at home and read books. On weekends he never went out to play with his friends. He spent his time watching TV or {#blank#}6{#/blank#} computer games. That was really bad for his health. His parents {#blank#}7{#/blank#} about him. One day his teacher talked to him about his health and {#blank#}8{#/blank#} him to change(改变) his lifestyle .

Now he walks to school every day and {#blank#}9{#/blank#} to do exercise every day.

    On weekends he {#blank#}10{#/blank#}plays basketball with his friends. Doing exercise helps him study better. Now he knows that doing exercise is very important.

     In the United States, Mother's Day is a holiday on the second Sunday in May. It is a day when children give their mothers{#blank#}1{#/blank#}, presents and flowers.

     One of the best ways to celebrate Mother's Day is to give your mother the day off. Let her{#blank#}2{#/blank#}while other members of the family do the housework.

     Many families begin Mother's Day with breakfast in bed. Usually dad and the children will let mum sleep late as they go into the kitchen and get ready for the favourite meal. A Mother's Day{#blank#}3{#/blank#}can be made of anything your mum likes.

     After the food is cooked, keep everything nice on a plate. Don't forget to put the bottle with only one flower. With spring here, the children can pick up the{#blank#}4{#/blank#}flower from the garden outside. When everything is ready, carefully carry the plate and mum's favourite books or newspapers up to her bedroom. Cards and small presents from the children can be put on the plate{#blank#}5{#/blank#}it is given to mum in bed.

     Many families take mum out to her favourite restaurant for a meal. It is a good day to let your mum rest and let her see what a wonderful family she has.
