There are three people in my family: my father, my mother and I.

My father likes skating. He can skate well. My mother likes reading books. And she has a lot of books at home. I like singing and dancing. And I often sing songs for my parents(父母亲).

    This is a picture of my classroom. It's very big. There are 35 students in my class. You can see 17 boys and 18 girls. The boys like playing football and basketball. The girls like reading and singing. Miss Liu is my English teacher. Her English is very good. She can sing English songs well. Her eyes are big and her hair is long. She's nice. We all like her very much.

    One day Mr Li and Mr Wang went to London to see a friend. They didn't know much English and they knew little about London. They didn't find their friend's home. They walked in the street for a long time. Then they saw a man near a shop. They went up to him and asked the way. The man smiled but said nothing(什么都没说) . Then he put his hand into his pocket and took out a book and read, "I'm sorry, I can't speak English." At last they found their friend's home with the help of a policeman.

    In England, people don't usually talk very much. People often read books and newspapers when they are on a bus or on a train and sometimes they like looking out of the window. But they don't talk much. When you meet English people, they often talk about the weather. So when you meet your friends in England, you can say, "It's a nice day today!" "But it was a little colder yesterday," your friend may answer. "But it will get a bit warmer later!" you can say. Talk about the weather like this, and your English friend will think, "How friendly you are! How polite you are!"

Sarah: Mum, I'm hungry. What's for lunch?

Mum: What would you like?

Sarah: I'd like some cakes and sausages.

Mum: What would you like, Kate?

Kate: I'd like some bread and beef.

Mum: Would you like some rice and pork?

Dad: No, thanks. I'd like some rice and chicken.

Mum: Everything is ready.
