     Long ago, an Ojibway Indian naming Wenibojo went on a long trip to the forest. When he got hunger, he dug up the roots of a bush and ate them. The roots were tasted good, but they made him sick. Wenibojo looked for everything better to eat. Suddenly he heard the sounds of ducks nearby. He followed the sounds from a beautiful lake, which the ducks were eating plants. Wenibojo tasted one. To his surprise, it was wild rice! He returned his village to tell the people there about the special food. Nowadays, the Ojibways still harvests rice, but only as many as they need. They always left some rice on the farm so that the ducks can eat.

    Last Saturday, I, with a friend of mine, were having a picnic in a park when it began to rain heavily. We packed everything up rapid and were ready to leave. My friend, her hair was already wet, suddenly couldn't move and speak. Her eye were rolling and she was about to lose consciousness. I was so frightening that I didn't know how to do. Luckily, a woman on a bicycle appeared. Struggle with the rain, she managed to call an ambulance. My friend has recovered the next morning. I am so grateful for the woman. But I haven't even got chance to thank her.

    The most popular art style in Western countries is Impressionism. In the late 19th century, the reason why the Impressionist painted in this style was because they felt like breaking away from the conventional style of painting on a way. On one hand, many people moved from the countryside to new cities. On other hand, there were many new inventions and social changes. The characters of Impressionism lies in the quick changes of natural light. That's because the painters would rather to work outdoors. With their attention concentrating on how light and shadow fell on objects at different times of day, their paintings were not as detailed as those of earlier painters. To his sorrow, many people disliked this style of painting. But it made no differences, for many paintings and artists became famous eventual, like Van Gogh and his Sunflower. How I wish I can paint as well as Van Gogh!

    Last Saturday I went to a bookstore to choose some books but found my wallet going when checking out. I panicked immediate as the wallet was a birthday gift from my best friend.     The winter holiday is coming. I as well as Li Ming are going to do something meaningful. What can be seen, the Yellow River is not as cleaner as it used to be. People throw a large amount of rubbishs into the river every day. Besides, many factories pour a great deal of waste water into it, thus cause a serious water pollution. It is time that we do something to protect the river now. Li Ming and I will pick the rubbish floating on the river, that may make the river look cleaner.
