A shark(鲨鱼)sees a monkey. It says, “Hello, my friend, would you please come to my house? My mother and the others of my family want to see you.”

    “That's very good.” the monkey says, “But I can't swim.”

    “Oh, sit on my back. I'll take you there.” On the way, the shark says, “I must tell you my mother is ill, she wants to eat your heart.”

    “But I'm sorry, I don't bring it with me. I put it in the tree. Take me back and get it.” says the monkey.

    “Let's go back.” shark says.

    When they return, the monkey climbs up the tree and leaves the shark waiting for him in the water.

    What will you do if you get 5 million (百万)? Some people give some different answers.

Sally:

    I want to do business. If I am rich, I will do a lot of things for my family. For me nothing is more important than my family. I will buy a new house for them and travel around the world.

Joe:

    If I have 5 million, I will use this money to do everything I like. At first, I will use 2 million to open my own shop. And I will use another 2 million of this money to buy some new houses. In the future, the houses will become more expensive, and I will sell them to other people. Finally, I will use 1 million to buy some presents for my family and my best friend.

Anna:

    If I have 5 million, I will put 3 million in the bank and spend 2 million. I will visit Paris, London and New York. I will eat delicious food, play games, and build a building with a swimming pool.

Jack:

    I will buy an island if I have 5 million. Then I will be the king of the island and I will invite my friends to my island.

Bury trip﹣﹣June 18th，2016

    We will be leaving the Perse School at 13：45．Please be at the school gate 10minutes early．If you are late，you may miss the bus and not be able to go! If you miss the bus，you won't get your money back．The bus is planned to arrive in Bury at 14：30，although this depends on traffic．You will have free time to walk around and we will meet at the same location where we arrived at 17：15to return to the Perse School by about 18：00．

    Things to do Visit the Abbey

    The Abbey is the min （废墟）of a church which was built more than 1，000years ago．There are many nice gardens in it．And next to the Abbey，there is a big new church．

    Have a drink in the Nutshell

    This little bar is famous in Britain because it is officially （正式地）the smallest bar in the country．Good things are put in small bags，and the Nutshell serves some of the area's finest beer，as well as fascinating photos．

    At the Greene King shop you can taste and buy some of the local beer，as well as food such as potato chips．There are also clothes available to buy．

My mother's loving hands

    Night after night, she came to help me sleep, even long after my childhood years.

    I don't remember1it first started making me a little angry-my mum's hands pushing my hair that way. But it really made me uncomfortable, for they2rough(粗糙的)against my young skin. Finally, one night, I3her, "Don't do that anymore. Your hands are too rough！”She didn't say anything, 4she never did it again.

    Years later, I missed my mother's5and her goodnight kiss on my face. I'm not a little girl any more. My mum is6her mid-seventies, and her rough hands are still doing things for my family and me.

    Now my own children have7. It was late on Thanksgiving Eve. As I slept in my bedroom, a familiar hand ran across my8to push the hair from my head. Then a kiss, ever so softly, touched my brow(额头).

    One day, a man saw an old lady sitting inside her car at the side of the road. Though it was dark, he could sec she needed help. So he stopped his car and walked towards her .The old lady was worried, even though she noticed the smile on his face. Was he going to hurt her? "I'll help you start your car, madam, By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson," he said.

    While Anderson was fitting a spare tired(备胎) to her car, the lady began to talk to him. She thanked him much for coming to help.

    Anderson just smiled as he put his tools away. The lady asked how much she should pay him. He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give them the help they needed. He waited until she started her car and drove off.

    A few miles down the road, the lady saw a small restaurant. She went in and a waitress came over with a sweet smile. The old lady noticed the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant(怀孕), but she never let the pains and aches change her smile when she served her..

    The lady finished her meal and paid with a hundred dollar bill. The waitress quickly went to pay me back, here is what you do- not let this chain(链子) of love end with you."
