The worst tourist in the world is perhaps Mr. Scott in San Francisco.

Once he 1 from the US to his hometown in Italy to see someone at home. The plane made a one-hour stop to get something at Kennedy Airport of New York. 2 he thought he had arrived home, Mr. Scott 3 the plane. He thought he was in 4.

     When nobody was there to5 him, Mr. Scott thought maybe they were held up by the heavy traffic. While looking for their addresses, Mr. Scott found that the old “Rome” had changed a lot. Many 6 buildings were replaced by high modern ones. He also found that many people spoke English instead of Italian and that many street signs were written in English.

     Mr. Scott knew very little English, so he asked a policeman the 7 to the bus station in Italian. Luckily, the policeman was also born in Italy and answer him in 8 language.

     After twelve hours' traveling round on a bus, the driver handed him over to a second policeman. He asked the policeman why the Rome police employed(雇佣) so many people as policemen speaking English instead of Italian.

     Mr. Scott didn't believe he was in New York when he was 9 so.

To get him on a plane back to San Francisco, he was sent to the airport in a police car 10 sirens(报警器) on. “Look,” said Scott to himself, “I know I'm in Italy. That's how they drive.”

    Teenager Jake Deham was skiing with his family in the USA when he fell over and lost one of his skis(滑雪板). His family didn't know that he had a problem. They 1 skiing. When they got to the foot of the mountain, there was no 2of Jake.

    His mum was very happy when she heard the news.13 Jake didn't even have to go to hospital. He got through the terrible experience 14any injuries(损伤).

    One day, the students of Class 6 were reading in the classroom. Mrs. Brown came in and told the whole class they would have to change the 1 the next week. At that moment, I knew the meaning of the suspended coffees. It's simple—people pay the coffee in advance(预先) for someone who can't 9 it. The tradition with the suspended coffees 10 in Italy, but it has spread all over the world. A suspended coffee is not only a cup of coffee, but also the warmth and love to someone in need.
