Once, there was a little girl named Meredith. Meredith enjoyed spending {#blank#}1{#/blank#}free time with her friends, but there was something different about Meredith. She was always interested in things {#blank#}2{#/blank#}chemistry and history. Meredith never wanted to {#blank#}3{#/blank#}about these interests because she was afraid she would be judged(评头论足). She always learned more about these topics when she was by herself, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} no one could find out about this. One day a new girl, Josie, joined her sixth-grade class, and the new girl was {#blank#}5{#/blank#}to say three things about herself. Josie stood up and {#blank#}6{#/blank#} to talk about her interests. First, she said she was {#blank#}7{#/blank#}in reading and writing stories. Second, she said she liked history. {#blank#}8{#/blank#}, she said she enjoyed chemistry. Meredith's eyes lit up with joy. Finally, she had found someone who had common interests as her.{#blank#}9{#/blank#}that day, Meredith found Josie on the playground and ran over to talk to her. They  immediately（立刻） became {#blank#}10{#/blank#}and start to play at each other's houses on the weekend.

    Everyone has a dream. Catherine's is to own a bakery(蛋糕店).

    The 14-year-old American girl became fond(喜爱) of baking and decorating(装饰) cakes when her mother first {#blank#}1{#/blank#} her how to do it. Her parents found that she is talented {#blank#}2{#/blank#} making cakes. She made her first cake for her sister's birthday. "I had never {#blank#}3{#/blank#} done anything like it before," she said. "It was pretty good and I actually realized how much I liked cake decorating." After making her sister's birthday cake, Catherine tried making the {#blank#}4{#/blank#} one for herself.

    Catherine had thought about starting {#blank#}5{#/blank#} own business years ago, but she didn't start receiving orders until she put pictures of her cake designs on Facebook.

    A few hours later, somebody saw Catherine's cake designs and called to order a cake for $15. That was her first {#blank#}6{#/blank#} cake. It proved to be a {#blank#}7{#/blank#} experience.

    Realizing the public's interest in Catherine's designs, her family decided to create a business for her. She has made about 35 cakes {#blank#}8{#/blank#} she started, including birthday cakes and wedding cakes. And she made her cakes without {#blank#}9{#/blank#} sketch(草稿) first.

    Catherine's {#blank#}10{#/blank#} were surprised that she could create such impressive(印象深刻的) designs at such a young age.
