Sometimes, we see some people reading books while biting their nails (咬指甲). According to the BBC(英国广播公司), up to 45 percent of teenagers bit their nails. There is not an exact answer to{#blank#}1{#/blank#}   why people bite their nails. But most commonly, nail biting is said to be a nervous habit. It is done  {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  of stress(压力), boredom or excitement.

 What's more, a report says that people with higher levels of intelligence(智力)  {#blank#}3{#/blank#}  biting their nails at an early age. It believes that compared  {#blank#}4{#/blank#}  common person,  {#blank#}5{#/blank#}   with higher levels of intelligence may feel higher levels of stress more easily.

 This habit is   {#blank#}6{#/blank#}   for the biters. It can give them red or sore fingertips. And long-term nail biting can affect(影响)   {#blank#}7{#/blank#}   nails grow.

 But don't worry! There are many   {#blank#}8{#/blank#}  to stop biting your nails. First, keep your nails clean. The more you focus on taking care of your nails, the  {#blank#}9{#/blank#}   likely you may bite them again. Also, when you feel stressed, try to relax.  {#blank#}10{#/blank#}  exercise or having a warm bath both help.

    A few weeks ago, I was on vacation with nay family in Malaysia We visited lots of places. One of the hotels we stayed in was near a China Town.

    Everything was cheap there {#blank#}1{#/blank#}we did a lot of shopping. I was looking for a watch for myself and {#blank#}2{#/blank#}for my girlfriend. There were many shops that were selling {#blank#}3{#/blank#}same watch-but for different {#blank#}4{#/blank#}.

    I finally found the best price, so I bought the watches while my sister and mom were buying other things from the shop. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}it was time to pay, I realized l was 10 dollars short, so I suggested {#blank#}6{#/blank#}one of the watches The {#blank#}7{#/blank#}of the shop asked why and I explained I didn't have enough money with me. She smiled and said," You can take it, but promise me you'll pay tomorrow!"

    So I asked her what time she {#blank#}8{#/blank#}there the next day and said," Okay, I promise. "

    Unfortunately we changed our hotel and new one was much {#blank#}9{#/blank#}away from China Town, but I still walked all the way to her shop and gave her the money. She smiled and said, "You're a good person."

    It's so beautiful when people {#blank#}10{#/blank#} you don't know trust you.
