China is a big country. The weather in the south(南方)is different from that in the north(北方). Beijing is a beautiful city of China. In this city, spring is warm; summer is hot; autumn is cool and winter is cold. But in the south of China, it is always warm. In Hong Kong and Sanya, people like to swim in the sea. They can't see snow. In the north of China, people can make snowmen and play with snowballs in winter. People like to spend their holiday(度假) in the south in winter, and in the north in summer.

    Most American families are smaller than the families in other countries. Children in the USA will leave their parents when they grow up. They usually live far from their parents because they want to find good jobs. They often write to their parents or telephone them. And they often go to visit their parents on holidays.

    Parents usually let their children choose their own jobs. Americans think it is important(重要的) for them to make decisions(作决定).

    Children are also asked to do some housework at home. And in many families，children will get money from their parents for doing some housework. Because American parents want to let their children learn how to make money for their own use.

    In the morning, Mr. Brown goes to work and the children go to school. Their father takes them to school every day.

    Mrs. Brown stays at home every day. She does the housework. She always eats her lunch at noon. In the afternoon, she usually sees her friends. They often drink tea together.

    In the evening, the children come home from school. They arrive home early. Mr. Brown comes home from work. He arrives home late.

    At night, the children always do their homework. Then they go to bed. Mr. Brown usually reads his newspaper, but sometimes he and his wife watch television.

    I have three good friends. They are Peter, Jack and Mike. Peter doesn't play TV games. But he watches TV and sleeps a lot. Jack doesn't read books. but he plays football. Mike doesn't watch TV. But he plays basketball. We often play together.
