I am Tony Smith. I am twelve. I am in No.101 Middle School. I'm in Class 2, Grade 7. My good friend is Jim Green. He is an English boy. He is twelve, too. He is in my class. He can speak good Chinese. Jane is in Class 2, too. I think she is a good girl. My Chinese teacher is Mr. Wang. His students like him. He is very cool.

    In order to learn how the students in our school spend money, we made a survey by asking them some questions. First, we asked them how much money they spent last month. And then we asked how much money they spent on snacks, books, movies, computer games, phones, transportation and other things last month. Our maths teacher helped us make a graph（图表） of their answers as follows.

    In our school, each student spent about{#blank#}1{#/blank#} yuan on average（平均）last month. According to the graph made by our{#blank#}2{#/blank#} teacher, we know how much money the students spent on different things in our school. David: I like winter, because it often snows in winter. When it snows, everything is white. It's beautiful and I can go skiing. I like the colour best.

Betty: My favourite colour is green. Green is the colour of the world. When I see green thing, I always think of my favourite sport, soccer. The soccer field(场地) is green, too!

Kate: Strawberries and cherries are my favourite fruit. What colour are they? They are red! The setting sun is red. Our national flag (国旗) is red. Red is also the color of fire. It always make us warm and excited.

Jack: The sky and sea have the same colour—blue. That's my favourite colour. Blue makes me calm (平静).When I'm unhappy because of a bad school grade, I just lie on the grass and look up at the beautiful blue sky.

    Arctic foxes (北极狐) live in the Arctic. They grow about 50 centimeters long, not including the tail, 30 centimeters tall and weigh from 3 to 7 kilos.

    {#blank#}1{#/blank#} The white ones are white in winter, but gray­brown in summer. The blue ones are blue­gray all year round. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} And the long fur covers their whole body to keep them warm in the low temperature in the Arctic.

    Arctic foxes mainly feed on birds, birds' eggs and other small animals. Teamwork is the way they look for food. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}

    Baby Arctic foxes are very lovely. They don't open their eyes until a week after their birth. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} They begin to look for food on their own when they are about six months old. The next year they can live alone.

    Now the number of Arctic foxes is becoming smaller and smaller, because people kill them for their fur to make beautiful coats. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}
