    I often imagine what my life will be like in the future. I thought my life will become very differently in ten years. I will be twenty-eight year old by then and I will have my own family, probable with a lovely child. I hope I'll work in a computer company a program designer. I'll enjoy my work or get along well with my workmates. I'll do the good job in whatever I do. In my free time, I'll continue taken regular exercise, such as swimming, running and different ball games. During my holidays, I'll travel around the world. In a word, our life will be much more richer and more colorful.

    Last week, I took a part in an English speech contest. There are twelve students in the final contest. I was one of the lucky student. Fifteen minutes after my turn, I picked my topic and prepared for it. I wrote down the outlines and organized what I was going to say. However, when I stood in front all the judges and students, I was extreme nervous. Then I took a deep breath to relax me and started my speech. The result was not good, because I regarded it as a challenge, which process was the most important.

    Having learnt a lot from the contest, I am sure I will do it much well next time.

    Last year, I went to Australia for a short-term study like an international student. One of my classmates suggested we shared our favorite recipes for foods from our own countries during New Year's party. We all agreed to this wonderful idea and cooked my unique dishes for the party. Hariyati from Indonesia shared a kind of cookie what was shaped like elephant ears. Susan from South Africa prepared some sweep dumplings packed in several banana leaf. Chiemi from Japan cooked special rice balls mixing with fish. And I was served Daoxiao noodles, my hometown—Shanxi's local food. These variously foods were all delicious. Therefore, my favorite was still Chinese food.

    I'll graduate from high school in half a year. I'm looking forward to be admitted to Hong Kong University for my college education. As cheerful boy, I enjoy creating and designing objects, that gives me a great sense of achievement. Besides, I hope I can contribute to my country with my knowledges and abilities in the near future. I promise to work even more harder to meet the standard setting by HKU.
