I'm Simon from America. I am twelve and I'm at Wllize junior School(初中). This month We have two school events(事件). One is an English party and one is a school trip. Next month, there will be five events.

    Here is a list.   

    I'm in the school volleyball club. 1 also like singing. 1 want to play in the volleyball game and sing at the music party. 1'm very happy.

    Shenzhen is a city in South China．It is not very big, but it has attracted people of the whole country and the whole world as well．

    Just about thirty years ago, it was only a small fishing village．There were not many people there． Most of them lived on fishing．Things have greatly changed since the 1980s．It became the first special economic zone(经济特区) in China．

    Because of the opening policy(政策), economic changes between China and the outside world have increased greatly．People can come and go easily between Shenzhen and Hong Kong．Both foreigners and Chinese have built a lot of factories, companies and tourists' attractions there．People all over the country have come to find jobs．Many of them have settled down in this new booming(兴起的) city．

    Shenzhen has been developing so fast that it has become a well－known metropolis(大都市) in China．

    I once believed that a friend is a friend all the way. Now I have changed my ideas about friendships.

    1). Friends of convenience(便利). They can be the people who live next door or the mothers of our children's closest friends. Friends of convenience are good indeed. They'll help us when we need it. They'll look after our cats when we go on holidays. But we don't ever get too close or tell too much. Between us, we'll talk about being overweight but not about being sad or disappointed(失望). However, people still find it necessary to make friends like this.

    2). Special-interest friends. These friendships aren't deeply personal or emotional(感情上的). They lie in some shared interests, so we may have an office friend, a tennis friend, or even a shopping friend.

    3). Historical friends. We all have a friend who knew us when…maybe we were back in the second grade of primary school, when our family lived in that two-room flat downtown. He or she was the first, the only friend we told our secrets to.

    The years have gone by, and we have gone different ways. But we're still a personal part of each other's past. We know how we looked before our teeth were straightened(矫正), and our getting together makes us think of an earlier part of ourselves, which is important and never lost.

    4). Cross-generational friends. These are friendships that from across generations(代). I have in my own life a precious(珍贵的) friend, a woman of 65, who is clever, who listens well, and who means not only an ideal mother to me but also the person I'd like to be when I grow up.

    Best friends, I believe, totally love and help each other.

    Meeting new people and making friends can be overwhelming, but with a little effort and willingness to step outside of your comfort zone, you can easily make friends. Here are some good ways to make friends.

    {#blank#}1{#/blank#}This is a great way to find other people who have common interests. If you enjoy something, try searching for a place where you can meet people who share that interest. If you play instruments or sing try joining a band or choir. 1fyou are good at sports, join a sports team.

    {#blank#}2{#/blank#}You can go to school, join a club, or go to church, but you still won't make friends if you don't actually talk to people. Any time you talk to someone, you have a chance at making a lasting friend You can talk to anybody：the clerk at tile video store, tile person sitting next to you on public transit, or the person in front of you in the lunch line. Don't be too picky.

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#}That will give you a better opportunity to talk and get to know each other a little bit better. Invite them to join you for lunch or coffee sometimes and give them your email address or phone number. This gives the person the opportunity to contact(联系) you；they may or may not give you their information in return, but that's fine.

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#}Many people think that interesting people are easy to make friends. Far more important than this, however, is the ability to show that you're interested in others Listen carefully to what people say, remember important details about them(their names, their likes and dislikes), ask questions about their interests, and just take the time to learn more about them.

    {#blank#}5{#/blank#}Many people lose contact with their friends because they're either too busy, or just don't value their friends enough. When you lose connection with a friend, tile friendship may fizzle out. And when you do try to contact them again, it can be hard to gain the friendship again.

    My friend Tom is a good student. He is 14 years old. He is 1.53 metres tall. I am a bit short. I'm only 1.45 metres tall. Tom is a good football player. We likes playing football after school. Tom has two long legs and two big feet. His arms are long. His favorite colour is blue. Gina is Tom's sister. She is only 1 year old. She is 0.72 metres tall. She looks beautiful. She has two big eyes and a small mouth. Her favorite colour is pink. Look! She is wearing a pink dress.

    Just as a famous saying goes, a Reading is to success what water is to fish." {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

    It can open many doors and can lead you into a path to success. It's quite clear that every successful person has a good habit of reading. This is because reading is an important way to get the information required to understand something. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}

    Then, how can you develop an interest in reading? There is only one way. Let me explain this to you. If you want to learn how to ride a bike, you have to get on the bike as many times as possible until you can ride successfully. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} If you want to improve your reading, try to read as much as you can. When you finish reading your first book, take another book and do the same. If you are going out, take a magazine, a book, an article or something else to read. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}

    So, parents should help to get their children to read as early as possible. Studies have shown that reading to your unborn child is very good. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Reading is always a wonderful time. Good books are good friends.
