Pets are not toys but friends {#blank#}4{#/blank#} need our love and company. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} don't get a pet if you're not ready to devote.

    Alibaba founder, Jack Ma graduated from the Hangzhou Teacher's Institute in 1988 with a major in English language education, and went on to teach at another university in the city. He gave up{#blank#}1{#/blank#}university teaching job after {#blank#}2{#/blank#}（discover）the Internet.

    Ma became excited {#blank#}3{#/blank#}the Internet during a visit to the United States in 1995 and wanted to find a way {#blank#}4{#/blank#}（bring ）the online world to China. In 1999, he persuaded friends to give him $60,000 to start an e-commerce firm called Alibaba.

Seeing an opportunity for small businesses to buy and sell their goods online, he started Alibaba, firstly running the company out of his apartment in the {#blank#}5{#/blank#}（east） city of Hangzhou. Alibaba Group includes Tmall.com for business-to-consumer trade and Taobao, China's{#blank#}6{#/blank#}（popular ）online consumer marketplace with hundreds of millions of products and services listed. Now the company is {#blank#}7{#/blank#}Internet giant and Ma—a former English teacher—is among China's most super-rich.

    On his long road to riches, Jack Ma says his{#blank#}8{#/blank#}（inspire） has been the film character Forrest Gump.

     “I like that guy. I{#blank#}9{#/blank#}（watch） that movie about 10 times,” he said in an interview with CNBC.

     “Every time I get frustrated, I watch that movie.”

Ma said the lesson he learned from the film featuring Tom Hanks was   {#blank#}10{#/blank#}“no matter what changes, you are you. I'm still the guy I was 15 years ago when I earned $20 a month.

    My name is Mahnaz Bibi and I'm from a village of Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir. We {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (use) to live a happy and comfortable life. I had my husband Mukhtar Ali and a son Mushahid Ali. Mushahid was the whole world for me.

Rise After Falling

    A father was worried about his son, {#blank#}1{#/blank#}was sixteen years old but had no courage at all. So the father decided to call on a Buddhist monk(僧侣){#blank#}2{#/blank#} (train) his boy.

    The Buddhist monk said to the boy's father, "I insist that your son should be left alone here. I'll make him into a real man within three months. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}, you can't come to see him during this period."

    Three months later, the boy's father {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (return). The Buddhist monk arranged a boxing match between the boy and an {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(experience) boxer. Each time the fighter struck the boy , he {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (fall) down, but at once the boy stood up; and each time a heavy blow knocked him down, the boy stood up again. Several times later, the Buddhist monk asked, "{#blank#}7{#/blank#}do you think of your child?"

    "What a shame!" the boy's father said, "I never thought he would be so {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (easy) knocked down. I needn't have him stay here any {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (long)!

    If you go out to the fields at night in spring or summer, you can hear frogs singing {#blank#}1{#/blank#}（joy） here and there. It seems as if they were performing a field symphony.

    The frog is a good and useful creature that benefits human beings. They can catch fast-moving insects. Each frog eats a large number of pests that are harmful{#blank#}2{#/blank#}crops. This little creature is regarded{#blank#}3{#/blank#}the natural enemy of pests".

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#}now frogs are getting fewer and fewer. This is because they are killed and put on the table as a delicious dish by their chief enemy, human beings. It is {#blank#}5{#/blank#}shameless and cruel act, isn't it?{#blank#}6{#/blank#}cause responsible for the rapid reduction of frogs is that farmers use insecticides （杀虫剂）to kill pests and frogs get killed as a result of drinking poisoned water{#blank#}7{#/blank#}eating poison-killed insects.

    Something must be done without delay{#blank#}8{#/blank#}（save）frogs. If we don't punish those{#blank#}9{#/blank#}sell and kill frogs to make money, then one day all of us {#blank#}10{#/blank#}（punish） by nature for failing to keep the balance of nature.

    We walked inside a museum in Garden City and looked around, eager {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (meet) Kobie Boykins, a NASA engineer. He helped to design the Mars rover (探测器) Curiosity, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} is still exploring to this day.

    In a big presentation room, Boykins {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (talk) about the team's newest rover, Mars 2020. We asked him if the new rover would be {#blank#}4{#/blank#} most complicated one he and his team {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (make) so far. He told us that most of the engineering would be the same. However, the rover is still more {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (advance) and will be able to get more accurate test {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (result).

    When Boykins finished his presentation, some people brought him into another room where we would interview him. We asked if he felt he was {#blank#}8{#/blank#} a lot of pressure at work. He told us that he {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (actual) put a lot of pressure on himself. He said that working on the spacecraft wasn't putting him in that position, but he still wanted to make {#blank#}10{#/blank#} perfect.
