One fresh sunny day, while I was swimming in the water, I felt something special going through my gills(鳃).It was a different kind of water. I also found many of my friends became sick. Some of them were dying. I was starting to worry because I didn't want to get sick or die. I was also thinking about what I should do to save my friends, so I decided to do some research for my underwater life.

    My research started. At first, I noticed there were many bottles, cans and other kinds of rubbish in the water. Then I went on… I got closer and then I tasted many different kinds of liquid(液体).(A)To my surprise, I noticed a man pouring some liquid into the water. Others also saw him doing so and they decided to follow him. I hated it! I wish I could have told them that it was killing us!

    I think it is so stupid for people to do this to the earth that they are living on! I can't understand (B)      they are doing this. Humans should stop throwing waste into the lakes or rivers. I want to have a normal life with my friends. People should stop being so selfish and care about the environment. If they do that, everyone will be fine and will have nothing to worry about. I suggest they follow my words. If so, I believe everyone will be able to live a happy life.

    Some people like to work alone while others enjoy teamwork. In my opinion, everyone had better learn to work with others together because teamwork is definitely necessary and important in modern society.

    First, working in a team provides a chance for us to communicate with each other. Just as the saying goes, “many hands make light job.” Working in a team, teammates share their ideas with each other, which is helpful to create a better achievement. Second, working in a team is a way to broaden our horizon(眼界). Teammates in a team can learn something from each other because they are from different places, owning various experiences and hold different views towards things. Therefore, getting along with other teammates is also a process of increasing our knowledge. Third, working in a team is also a way to establish(建立) our friendship. Teammates in a team have chances to help each other, to solve the problems together, to share the happiness of being successful, which make a great contribution（贡献） to establishing friendship.

    So working in a team is one of the most effective（有效的） ways to extend（扩展） our personal relationships. To sum up, to learn to work in a team is really necessary and important and we should try to enjoy it.

    It's a must-eat fruit in Southeast Asia. People there call it "King of Fruits" Many love it so much that they eat it at every meal. "what's it?" you may ask. It is the durian (榴莲).

    The durian can only grow in hot places. Its name "durian" comes from the Malay word "duff". It means "thorn (刺)".

    The durian is the most famous fruit in Southeast Asia. It looks big and dangerous and has a very strong smell (浓烈的气味).有许多不同种类的榴莲 They come in different sizes. A durian can grow up to 30cm long, and usually it can be as heavy as 1 to 3kg.

    The greatest thing about the durian is its inside (内部). When you open it up, a very strong smell comes out. Some people love this smell, but others don't like it! In Singapore, people cannot bring a durian into a hotel room or onto a city train. And they can't bring a durian onto some planes either.

    Although the durian has a strong smell, it tastes quite good. It tastes soft (软的) and sweet. Some animals living in the forest like it!

    Last month some thieves stole a valuable teapot from a museum in Hong Kong. They took the teapot to America, but the American police found it. The museum sent Mr. Chan, a member of the museum staff, to collect the teapot. On the plane back to Hong Kong, he noticed two men. They were watching him closely. "Perhaps they're going to steal the teapot again. I must think of a plan,” he thought.

    Mr Chan's daughter, Amy, met him at Hong Kong Afimor. Mr Chan NS was carrying two boxes. He gave his daughter the pink box and said to her in a low voice, "Take this gift box home with great care." He walked away with the brown one. The two men followed him.

    Amy opened the box at home. She was expecting a pair of sports shoes, but she just found an old teapot. "This is not a very interesting gift," said Amy, a bit disappointed." That's all right. Let's make some tea in it," said her mother. Then they found a note in the teapot. It said, "Dear Amy, __ Love Dad.”

    The two men kidnapped(绑架)Mr. Chan on his way to the museum. They opened his box and found a pair of sports shoes inside."Wheres the teapot?” the two thieves shouted at the top of their voice with red faces." How dare you cheat us? We saw you give your daughter a box at the airport. Come with us! We're going to search your home, one of them said。

    When the thieves entered Mr. Chan's flat, it was dark and quiet. All of a sudden, the door closed and the lights went on. The police were waiting inside.

    Amy and her mother came out of the bedroom with the teapot. "That teapot is very valuable, said Mr. Chan. "A long time ago it belonged to an emperor. He drank tea from it."

    “We were going to drink tea from it, too, "said Amy, laughing.

    The first people who drank tea were the Chinese. The bush grew wild all over the south of China. Chinese people liked the taste, and found that the drink could refresh (使恢复精力)them. The new drink reached England in 1657. It was sold at one of the coffee houses. Only the very rich people could afford (买得起) to drink.

    Now, people drink tea all around the world. But tea does not mean the same thing to everyone. In different countries people have very different ideas about drinking tea. In China people always have tea together with their friends. They may drink tea at any time of the day. They only put tea leaves in their cups. They prefer the tea with nothing else in it. In the USA people drink tea at breakfast or after meals. They usually use tea bags to make their tea. Making tea with bags is faster and easier than making it with tea leaves in teapots.

    Today, when we think of Western tea culture, we often think of the English, afternoon tea and beautiful china tea cups. It's believed that an English lady, Anna, first introduced the idea of afternoon tea. She invited some friends to join her for an afternoon meal between four and five o'clock. This meal included cakes, sandwiches and tea. In order to make this afternoon meal important, fine china cups and plates, and silver teapots, knives, forks and spoons were used. Soon, afternoon tea parties became popular social occasions (社交活动). Today, afternoon tea parties continue to play an important part in the social life in modern Britain.

    It may be difficult to start high school. Thinking about making new friends might make you feel nervous.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}You are going to school with a group of students of your age. Here are several suggestions for you to follow.

    Forget your fear and just talk to someone. It's easier said than done. But try to take a deep breath and find your voice. Don't be afraid to approach (接近) people.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}Sit in the middle of the classroom with as many new friends around you as possible.
