One day, a monkey and a turtle ran a race. The monkey said,"  I am big, I can run fast. I will win." The turtle said,"  I am small. I am slow. But I will do my best." The monkey ran faster than the turtle. Then the monkey's friend, the rabbit came out. The rabbit said to the monkey,  let's play!" The monkey thought he would win anyway. So he played with the rabbit. The turtle ran slowly. But he ran and ran. Finally the turtle won. The turtle shouted, " I won!" The monkey was still playing with the rabbit. Then the monkey found the turtle. He was very surprised. But it was too late.

    Many Chinese people have a good time during the Chinese New Year. It usually comes in January or February. Each year gets a name. It may be called the year of the dog or the year of the tiger instead of (代替)2006 or 2010. Usually there is dragon(龙)dance in the street. The dragon is a strange(奇怪的)animal about 20 feet(英尺)long. It is made of paper and cloth(布). Men hide(藏)under the dragon, and make a lot of noises by shouting and laughin9. There are always a lot of fireworks(烟火). After the dragon dance, the children sing and dance in the street.

Lynn: Mum, let's go on a trip this Saturday, OK?

Mum: No. Your grandmother will come to our house.

Lynn: That's great！May we go to the airport?

Mum: Sure. We will take a bus to the airport.

Lynn: May we take a car? A car is fast.

Mum: But I can't drive a car.

Lynn: We can get my dad to drive.

Mum: OK!

Lynn: When will my grandmother arrive?

Mum: She will arrive at 2:00 in the morning on May the first.

    There is a new park near my house. It's in the south of the city. It's a fine day today. My parents and I are in the park now. In the park, there is a big lake. There are many flowers and trees near the lake. There's a small hill behind the lake. Near the lake, there is a sign. It says "Don't swim in the lake!" The park is so beautiful. We like it very much.

    This is the earth. The green part is land. The blue part is sea. The white part is clouds. Our earth is very beautiful and interesting. Many years ago, the earth is very clean. But nowadays there is much pollution on the earth. People are polluting the land, the water and the air. People must stop doing that. We must protect the earth.

    There are three people in my family. My father is a worker, he often plays basketball with me. He hopes me to be "YAO MING". My mum is a teacher, she often does housework, I often help her. I am very happy with my mum and my father. So, that's my happy family.
