    Then people heard barking（狗叫声） coming from the woods. So they all rushed to the woods. Adam was fast asleep {#blank#}7{#/blank#} a tree. Brandy was keeping Adam there while one of her own {#blank#}8{#/blank#}（leg） dangled over（悬垂） a deep hole.

    Brandy had followed Adam when he walked away. Seeing him in danger, she'd held him {#blank#}9{#/blank#}（safe） for all those hours.

    Adam's mother was so grateful {#blank#}10{#/blank#} Brandy spent the rest of her days with them. In Brandy's honor, Adam's mother founded Pets Alive, a pet rescue（救援） center in New York.

    Visitors to Japan are often excited about the delicious food, but many people are a little nervous {#blank#}1{#/blank#} what to do at restaurants or in a Japanese household. So it's helpful to know basic table {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (manner) before going to Japan.

It's not polite to move your chopsticks up and down above dishes or to point {#blank#}7{#/blank#} somebody with your chopsticks.

    It is polite to lift small bowls of rice or soup when you eat. It {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (prevent) you from dropping food.

    In Japan, it is common to slurp(出声地喝) while {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (eat) noodles. People say the noodles taste better {#blank#}10{#/blank#} they make slurping noises.
