Grace lives in Oklahoma. She is only six years old, {#blank#}1{#/blank#} she already has big ideas for helping other kids!

One Saturday morning when Grace was five, she {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (pass) a lemonade stand (柠檬水摊). Some teenagers were selling lemonade. Their purpose was to raise money for some of their {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (friend). Grace wanted to have a try, so her mother explained to her {#blank#}4{#/blank#} to start a lemonade stand.

Grace wanted to help kids too, especially foster (寄养的) kids! That was because she and her brother were foster children. She thought that maybe she could help {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (they) by starting a lemonade stand!

{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (luck), Grace's first lemonade stand made $ 132! She was very excited {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (buy) things for the foster kids with her mother. She helped 24 children for {#blank#}8{#/blank#} first time. Grace wanted to help {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (many) kids so her mum helped her start a project called Grace's Lemonade for Love. So far, she {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (raise) over $ 17, 000! Someday maybe she will be able to send toys to all foster kids in her country.

My name is Mike and I'm new in the city. I'm twelve years old. My father is a bus driver and my mother is a nurse. They love me very much. This is my new friend Lucy. She is eleven years old. She is a good girl. She often tells me about the city. 

Here is a map of this city. Look! In the middle of the city is a park. It's between the hotel and the library. Next to the library is our school. Behind the school is a hospital. My mother works there. There is a bus station in front of our school. On the right of the bus station is the theatre. This city is not very big, but I love it. 

It's not an easy thing to speak out how we really feel sometimes. An English teacher from Fremont, California thought of a creative * way to help her students express their feelings. 

Erin Castillo is a special education * teacher. She made a "mental health checklist(心理健康诉查表)"for her students. The checklist asks kids if they are "Great", "OK", "Meh", "Struggling(挣扎)" "Having a hard time" or "In a really dark place". Each student needs to write his name on the back of the paper and put it in the section describing how he is feeling. If he puts it in the "Struggling" section, he knows he should talk with friends or parents. If he is "Having a hard time" or "In a real dark place", Castillo will talk with him. Also, Castillo made a table for "Coffee Time" Students can sit it at the table and work quietly and independently *. They can listen to music, have a snack or enjoy some "me-time". "It is important for teachers to create a classroom where students feel safe to communicate with others, "Castillo said. 

In May, 16-year-old Alktur Dibat became the youngest Chinese climber to reach the top of Qomolangma (珠穆朗姆峰) . 

The boy is from Urumqi, Xinjiang.  He arrived at the South Base Camp in Nepal on April 15.  He spent 28 days getting used to (习惯) the new place and then started his climb with about 10 other good climbers. 

On May 19, Alktur finally reached the top of the world, breaking the record set last year by Xu Zhuoyuan, a girl from Hunan.  Reaching the top of Qomolangma is my biggest dream.  I feel very happy that I made my dream come true, Alktur said.  During his climb, he sometimes felt terrible, but it didn't stop him from keeping going. 

Alktur is a student at Urumqi No.  13 Middle School.  He started to learn rock climbing at 7, skiing at 8, and ice climbing at 9.  He climbed his first mountain with his father when he was 10.  In July last year, they climbed a high mountain called Muzta Ata in Xinjiang.  In February this year, Alktur climbed Siguni Mountain in Sichuan. 

To climb Qomolangma, Alktur ran 10 kilometers every morning and took special training classes on weekends.  He also took a training class organized by the Chinese Mountaineering Association. 

Alktur now wants to climb the other highest mountains.  He loves the feeling of climbing and wants to keep trying. 

 Tomorrow is Emma' s first day of junior high school. Her mother buys her a new schoolbag. It is red. Emma is excited to have it. She sits on the chair and packs her schoolbag.

 First, she puts her pencil case into the schoolbag. What's in the pencil case? Look. She has two pens and three pencils. She also has an eraser and a ruler. They' re all in her pencil case. She also puts her colour pencils in the pencil case. She can draw pictures with them for her art teacher Mrs Green. Next, she puts her scissors(剪刀) in it. She wants to make cards with them for her friends. Then, she puts all her textbooks in it.

 Emma puts all the school things in her schoolbag. What a great term it can be!

 Years ago, my friends and I went to the Caribbean. We stayed at the Winding Bay Hotel first. The owner of the hotel, Mr Emeritus, was 1 and always ready to help others.2 days later, we were planning to3 for four days at the Cable Beach Hotel at another place. Mr Emeritus told us that he knew the owner of it. He gave us his4 and told us give it to front desk when we got there. We thought that we might receive a fruit basket or something like that , because the 5 knew each other.

6 we arrived at the Cable Beach Hotel, I gave the card to the front desk. The man 7 us up to our room. We 8 our time at the hotel. When we would leave, the man told us we only needed to 9 one phone call. I told him that he made a mistake,10 he told us that Mr Emeritus had paid for everything else. We were so 11 .

 After we returned home, we sent a 12 to Mr Emeritus and thanked him for making our 13 memorable(难忘的). For years, we kept14 Christmas cards to him, and he sent them to us, too!15 honest owner Mr Emeritus is !
