    Do you think what color oranges are? The common answer to this question is "Orange". However, the first oranges from Southeast Asia were actually green. Up to now, oranges in warmer areas like Vietnam and Thailand still stay green when they are fully grown.

    There was a man named John Chapman who planted thousands of apple trees. But the apples on those trees were much more bitter(哭的) than the ones you'd find in the supermarket today. John didn't expect has apples to be eaten whole, but rather made hard apple cider(苹果酒).

    Like most four-legged animals, cats have five toes on the front paws, but their back paws only have four toes. Scientists think they four-toe back paws might help them run faster. Do you know any other fun fact about cats?

A wildlife photographer(野外摄影师）

When it comes to Xizang, many people first think of its blue sky, white clouds, and snow-covered mountains. But for Mr. Luo, there is a more colourful and amazing world in Xizang. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

Mr. Luo is a photographer. He is in his late 50s and grew up in Xizang. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} So in 2010, he brought together a team of experts, photographers and volunteers to travel around Xizang to take photos of its amazing plants and animals and show them to others.

{#blank#}3{#/blank#} Mr. Luo thinks that if we cannot stop those plants and animals from dying out over time, taking photos of them will be helpful for future research. And future generations (后代) will also be able to see that those beautiful plants and animals once lived in Xizang.When travelling around and taking photos, Mr. Luo and his team faced many difficulties and dangers from terrible natural conditions to dangerous animals. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} So far, they have taken hundreds of thousands of photos of Xizang's natural world and published 11 books. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}

Miguel finally sees Dad. He's just back from a working trip. "How's your chess game, Miguel?"

"Mrs. Lambert says I'm the best chess player in the school! She says you teach me well."

"We'll play after dinner," Dad says.

At night, Miguel wants to help Dad clean out his suitcase (手提箱). "Wait, Miguel. I'll take my next trip next morning." "Oh, Dad!" Miguel cries. "But you just got here!" Miguel eyes the suitcase. When he was little, he got into the suitcase, thinking Dad could take him to work as well. Sometimes Dad traveled really far and it was day there when it was night for Miguel. They couldn't even talk by phone.

"I'll miss you," Dad says. He then pets a box from his suitcase and hands it to Miguel.

Miguel opens it. A beautiful chess set!

"Thank you, Dad!" Miguel cries. "It's so nice!"

It's an exciting game of chess. When Miguel's bedtime comes, it's still not over. "Keep it. We'll continue the game when we meet again, OK?" says Dad. 

Miguel carefully takes the chessboard to his bedroom. He looks at it, wishing the game could continue.

"Oh, that'll be a great idea!"

The next morning, when Miguel wakes up, Dad's gone. After studying the chess board for a minute, Miguel calls Dad and leaves a message: "Dad, it's me…"

My classmate Thomas is 13. He is a basketball1 in our school.He can play basketball well.Thomas thinks basketball is2 interesting game.So he plays3 with his friends after school.He4 basketball games onTV.too.He plays basketball really5 .We like to play basketball6 Thomas.

Once there was a baby eagle( 鹰 )living in a nest(巢)on a mountain. The baby eagle loved his nest. It was warm and1 . And even 2 , he had all the food and love that his mother could give. When the baby eagle was hungry, his mother would always come just in time with the delicious food he liked.

The baby eagle fell down, faster and faster. He looked up at his mum, "Why do you leave me? "He looked down at the earth. The ground was much10 , Then something strange happened. The air caught behind his arms and he began to fly! He wasn't moving to the ground any more. 

"You are flying! You can make it! "His mother smiled(微笑).
