Drawn in simple black and white, Tuzki (兔斯基) doesn't seem special at first sight. But with two narrow eyes and slim arms, the rabbit creates his own special magic. He is very good at using body language {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (express) different emotions. His {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (present) on instant messaging platforms like QQ and WeChat had made him into {#blank#}3{#/blank#} true icon (偶像) of the interesting generation.

    It is an achievement neither the rabbit {#blank#}4{#/blank#} its creator Wang Maomao would have imagined. As early as 2006, Tuzki lived on Wang's blog, showing {#blank#}5{#/blank#} she was going through in her life. For instance, Tuzki went to the dentist, {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (eat) instant noodles, and watched horror movies alone at midnight － just like the 29-year-old Beijing artist herself.

    “Many people said I looked like a rabbit when they first met me.” Wang said, explaining how she came up {#blank#}7{#/blank#} the idea for Tuzki. At first the rabbit represented Wang herself. Over time, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} , Tuzki gradually developed his own character.

    “He's a rabbit with a loving heart who {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (discourage) easily by reality. He likes to complain, but he can always enjoy {#blank#}10{#/blank#} .”she said.

    If you're a fan of penguins, you might enjoy{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(participate) in a new research project to help scientists measure changes to penguin populations.

    The project {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (name) Penguin Watch and the members are counting penguins in online {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (photo) taken across Antarctica, helping scientists monitor the species in their natural habitat. Up to now, nearly 40,000 volunteers have joined in the project.

    “Penguin Watch is people-powered research{#blank#}4{#/blank#} people can help and every click {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (matter) in helping us to understand penguins,” Tom Hart, {#blank#}6{#/blank#} expert from Oxford University and a member of the Penguin Watch team, told The Telegraph.

    The data {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (give) by volunteers will also help measure changes in not only the penguins' behavior and habitat, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} the larger ecosystem as well. “Finally, this huge data set allows us to {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (effect) train computers to take over from humans and helps us pass on the tools developed for penguins to the species {#blank#}10{#/blank#} threat,” said Hart.

    As a stranger in Atlantic City, I often used to go walking outside. One afternoon, I found a little boy{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (stand) alone, and he looked very lost. I tried to get his trust, so I{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(buy) him an ice-cream cone and decided to call the police to take him home. We always kept bamboo chopsticks along with our {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (knife), forks and spoons, ready for whenever we happened to have Chinese food for dinner.     Plus, I lived over two years in China before Jun and I started dating and I {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (expect) to use chopsticks in almost every restaurant, stand and bar. Trust me, when you're hungry you figure out pretty fast what it takes to down(咽下) {#blank#}10{#/blank#} meal with these utensils.

    Curiosity is part of human nature. Children are famous for wanting answers {#blank#}1{#/blank#} tons of questions. People keep reading or watching {#blank#}2{#/blank#} they want to find out what happens. But curiosity also provides many practical benefits.

Learning is easiest if you have a genuine desire for knowledge. Curiosity can create that desire when you have a question.

    Many of history greatest discoveries {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(make)by curious people. People wondered {#blank#}4{#/blank#} processes worked or how certain tasks could be done more effectively. Thanks to their curiosity, people now know far more about the world and have useful technology {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(help)them.

    Even if you don't plan to be an inventor of researcher, curiosity can still help you in the classroom. If you develop the joy of learning, classes will become more fun. And you'll excel because you will be fully engaged in the process of learning. Even if you're no longer a student, curiosity will make you better {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(inform)and thus a more capable worker.

    What do you do if you're not already curious? Fortunately, curiosity is a skill that can be improved. If you act like you're curious, you'll quickly start to actually feel curious. Often, the more you learn about a topic the {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(interesting)it becomes.

    As you learn about a topic, gather information from as many sources as possible. Read a variety of books, watch or listen to lectures and ask questions. Don't always get your information from the same source. Instead, learn to appreciate facts that different people know and the different opinions {#blank#}8{#/blank#} they express.

    Ask a lot of questions, Remember, everyone knows {#blank#}9{#/blank#} that you don't. Find out what that is, and ask about it. This lets you learn something and makes the other person happy by letting them show off their knowledge.

In the classroom or out of it, {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(develop)curiosity is sure to be worthwhile.

    We walked inside a museum in Garden City and looked around, eager {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (meet) Kobie Boykins, a NASA engineer. He helped to design the Mars rover (探测器) Curiosity, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} is still exploring to this day.

    In a big presentation room, Boykins {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (talk) about the team's newest rover, Mars 2020. We asked him if the new rover would be {#blank#}4{#/blank#} most complicated one he and his team {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (make) so far. He told us that most of the engineering would be the same. However, the rover is still more {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (advance) and will be able to get more accurate test {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (result).

    When Boykins finished his presentation, some people brought him into another room where we would interview him. We asked if he felt he was {#blank#}8{#/blank#} a lot of pressure at work. He told us that he {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (actual) put a lot of pressure on himself. He said that working on the spacecraft wasn't putting him in that position, but he still wanted to make {#blank#}10{#/blank#} perfect.
