I really only meant it as a joke. I wasn't trying to steal anything honestly.
   My friend Matthew started bringing his new cell phone to class last week. He was walking around bragging (吹嘘) about it to everyone. He was saying, "My cell phone can download the newest 1 off the Internet."Then he 2everyone by downloading a game and starting to play it. The pictures and sound were really 3.4 class, he would use his cell phone to watch TV. The rest of us didn't have a phone like  5, so we had to crowd(拥挤) around him. I was just trying to see the screen, 6 there were so many other kids that I could not see it clearly. I was getting really jealous.
   But then yesterday, he forgot his cell phone at the end of class. He left it right on his desk. 7 noticed it was there except me. I decided to teach him a lesson. I took his phone quietly off the desk, and put it in my own bag. My 8 was to give it back to him the next day. I 9  wanted to see his reaction (反应). Maybe he would stop being such a show-off.
   But this morning he rushed into class, screaming and yelling (吼叫). He was very 10  and almost mad. He started accusing (指责) different people of  11 his phone, but I had it in my  12  the whole time. He even started fighting with another classmate 13  Matthew was sure that person had taken it. The teacher sent them to the headmaster's office. They  14   got in a lot of trouble. Now I don't know what to 15 ! If I tell him that I took the cell phone, he'll think I stole it. If I don't tell him, then I really did steal it. How did I get into such a trouble?

    Daniel is one of my friends. Last week he got an award because he 1 the police catch a robber(抢劫犯).

    Daniel was on his way home from a party that evening. It was 2 and there were not many people on the bus. He sat in the 3 row on the bus. He found a man in front of him a little strange. The man wore a pair of dark glasses. 4 people wear dark glasses in the evening. 5Daniel was very curious(好奇的). Was he a blind man(盲人)?Soon he found himself wrong. The man could 6 everything. Daniel 7 see what the man was like. So be walked to the front of the bus. He took a close look at the man when he was walking 8 him. Daniel was surprised. The man was the robber he saw in the newspaper. He was wanted(被通缉)by the police.

    Daniel got off the bus at the next bus stop and called the police. The police came soon and 9 the bus. Then they caught the robber.

    Everybody says Daniel is a(n) 10 boy. Do you think so?

    Boom! A clap of thunder (一声霹雳) made the old house shake. Ramon stayed under his bed. A flash of lightning (一道闪电) lit up the room."I hate this house,"Ramon thought. It was his first night in his new home.

    The house had belonged to his grandma. It was very, very old. It looked really scary at night. The trees outside his windows looked like monsters (怪物) in the dark. Their branches (树枝) looked like long arms. They waved when the wind blew. The storm made everything even scarier. Ramon hated storms, and it seemed worse in the old house.

    Later the thunder became quieter. Ramon climbed into bed and fell asleep. When he woke up, the sun was shining through his windows. Ramon climbed out of bed.

    The trees outside didn't look like monsters anymore. The branches had nice green leaves growing on them. Ramon could see a bird sitting on one of the branches. It was singing a happy song. The yard looked pretty nice in the daylight. A stream (溪) ran across the yard. A swing hung from one of the trees. Many flowers grew next to the  tree.  Butterflies  flew  around  the flowers.

    "Maybe living here won't be so bad after all," Ramon thought.

It was December 23. I became 1 because it was my last night at school that term. The December holidays would 2 the next day.

3 , the happy time came and the December holidays started. I hurried home and well prepared for my trip. It was time for my 4 , my sister and me to meet my father at the airport and fly on holiday.

Mum drove a car to the 5 . A close family friend, Peter, was coming with us. Everyone was 6 on the way. We sang songs with the radio. Suddenly mum 7 , "Oh, God, the brakes (刹车) aren't working!"

We were coming to a cross road. The traffic light ahead was 8 . Many cars were waiting patiently. Mum had to make a 9 : rush into the cars or turn onto the side walk. There was nobody on the side walk. To avoid causing danger to other cars, she 10 to make a turn.

The turn was so sudden that the 11 hit a big tree. Peter was not wearing his seatbelt (安全带) and his door opened. He12 from the car and fell to the ground heavily.

When the car completely 13 , we ran to him and called the police. He was sent to the 14 at once. Luckily, he was saved.

Always remember to 15 your seatbelt in a car. It's a matter of life and death!

Mr. Black is the best doctor in a hospital. He is quite busy at work during the day. So he1 have a good rest at home. He often goes to bed2 after supper. Mr. Black lives in an apartment. 

3 keep quiet except Jeff. The young man, who moved there months ago,4 downstairs. He likes music and5 a piano last month. He always plays it for hours6 . Mr. Black7 get to sleep.

Although Mr. Black tells Jeff about it8 , the young man forgets it soon.

One day, Jeff was ill. He had to go to the hospital and Mr. Black was just his doctor . " If you stop9 the piano at night, you'll be all right10 !" When the young man left, a nurse asked, "Is playing the piano really bad for his health , Mr. Black?" "No," said Mr. Black, "But it is bad for mine!"
