I had a great time in Hong Kong. I spent five days there. Let me tell you what I did. Today I went shopping with my aunt but I didn't buy anything. The things were too expensive.

Yesterday I took a boat trip around the famous Victoria Harbor(维多利亚港). I took lots of photos.

The day before yesterday I went to the zoo. I saw some monkeys there. Oh, I also bought some gifts there. On Thursday I went to the bird market. I saw many kinds of birds from all around the world. On Wednesday my aunt took me to the beach. We lay on the beach and enjoyed the sun. On the beach I met my friend. We played happily on the beach. What about your trip? I hope you have a great time in Toronto.

How Do You Get to School Every Day? 

For most students in cities, it's 1 for them to get to school. They can walk or ride a bike to school. They can also get to school by bus or even by subway. It won't 2 them too long to get to school and go back home. 

But for some students in faraway villages, things are quite 3 . Life for them is hard. It's difficult for them to get to school every day. Usually they will spend a few 4 on the way. In one small village, there is a big river 5 the school and the village. The students can't get to school by boat because the river runs too 6 . They have to go on a ropeway to 7 the big river. Though it's dangerous, they are used to it and are not afraid. In their mind, going out to study is their 8 thing. 

But there are still many villagers who 9 leave their village. How they are looking forward to having a 10 ! I do hope one day their dream can come true. 

Chen Dong is my pen pal. He says that there are many popular 1  in his country, such as the Lantern Festival, the Dragon Boat Festival, the Double Ninth Festival and so on. But 2 thinks the Double Ninth Festival is the3 important festival in China. Why does he think so? Because it encourages people to respect, love and take good care of the old. That is a 4  virtue (美德) of the Chinese nation. It's on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month (阴历月). The number nine in both the month 5 the day creates the double nine. In Chinese, double nine is pronounced  6  same as the words jiu jiu meaning "forever". 7  that day, people enjoy a lot of activities like climbing a high mountain, eating Double Ninth Gao, wearing the zhuyu plant to wish to avoid evil (辟邪) and live long. People eat Double Ninth Gao to hope progress in everything. 8 interesting and meaningful festival it is! Are you also interested in it? I can9 wait to go to China to have a look on my own very soon! I am looking forward to10 him for the festival this year.

There once lived a rich businessman who had a lazy son. The businessman wanted his son to realize the value of labor. 

One day, he told his son, "Today, I want you to earn something. If you fail, you won't have your meal tonight. "

The boy didn't want to find a job, so he asked his mother for help. She gave him a gold coin. In the evening, when the father asked his son what he had earned, the son showed him the gold coin. The father then asked him to throw it into the well (水井). The son did as he was told. 

The father guessed that the gold was from the boy's mother. The next day, he sent his wife to her parents' home and asked his son to earn something. Since no one helped him, the son had to go to the market to look for a job. A shopkeeper told him that he would pay him a coin if he carried heavy tools for him. The son accepted. As he returned home and gave the coin to his father. he was asked to throw it into the well. The boy cried, "Dad! My body is aching. I'm tired. How are you asking me to throw my hard-earned coin into a well?"

The businessman smiled. He told his son that one feels pain only when the fruits of labor are wasted. The son realized the value of hard work. He promised not to be lazy any more. 

There was a man who had four sons.  He hoped that his sons could learn not to judge (评判) things too 1 .  So he sent them to a very far place, asking them to go and look at a pear tree during different seasons. 

The eldest son went out in winter, the second in spring, the third in summer, and the 2 in autumn.  When all of them returned home, the father called them together, and let them 3 what they saw. 

The first son said the tree was ugly and there was 4 there.  The second son said the tree was covered with 5 buds (芽) and was full of hope.  The third son didn't have the same idea 6 his two brothers, saying that it was filled with 7 .  He told them they smelt sweet and looked beautiful.  The last son didn't agree with all of them, saying that there was lots of fruit 8 the tree and the tree was full of life. 

The man told his four sons that they were all right, 9 each of them only saw the tree during one season.  He added, "You cannot judge a tree by one season or a person in one time.  If you give up during the coldness of winter, you will miss the hope of spring, the beauty of summer and the 10 of autumn in your life. "

I love traveling. I've been to many cities in China and Sanya is my favorite. Last Spring Festival, instead of visiting {#blank#}1{#/blank#} and friends, we decided to pay a visit to Sanya.

 We left for Sanya as soon as our holiday began. We really enjoyed ourselves there. We played on the beach and {#blank#}2{#/blank#} fireworks.

 Then we went to Nanshan Temple. A large {#blank#}3{#/blank#}of people visited it every day. According to the local(当地的) {#blank#}4{#/blank#}people should eat rice cakes during the Spring Festival, so we went to a local restaurant. Its rice cakes {#blank#}5{#/blank#}good and tasted delicious. We didn't return until our holiday was about to be over.

 Want some advice? Keep in mind that the best time to visit Sanya is from December to January in the dry season when the weather isn't too hot.
